My grandpa had a friend group that he would go camping with in canada when he was in his twenties and he always told one story about how him and 2 of his friends saw a bigfoot standing next to a tree close to a small lake behind it. Sadly his 2 friends passed away 6 years ago, but the reason most of my family believes him is because he always tells the story the exact same way, it never changes.

I think we're going to have proof undeniable proof soon here like within the next 10 years. I personally think the original most famous film was already proof but until we get one that's been sadly captured idk how else we can prove it without the hiders saying it's fake or not real. Why would native Americans tell stories about them for hundreds of years like they had anything to gain by making them up?

Ive read journals of the first European explorations of America it is my opinion that the war against giants was not the Bigfoot. The descriptions of natives and first explorations are wrong but its extremely intriguing. When i mean ivebread the journals i want to say i actually read them im not vomiting someone elses opinion. My girlfriend is a vet tech and when the "Stone Giant" thing came up she immediately said that in her experience with farm animals and some dogs, when snow or mud cakes onto animals with double coats it gets chunky and matted when it dries and very much appears as if they're covered in stones or rocks. Given what we can assume about Bigfoot's hygiene, this seems a lot more likely to me as an explanation for the moniker "stone giant" than rolling around in tar and pebbles. The rolling, or wallowing in mud, is a common technique used by pigs to avoid bites by insects as well as a cooling down process. In my earlier days I hunted wild pigs in Australia and our preferred rifle was the 30.30 Winchester and I’ve heard a few stories about the mud coating on large boars preventing a 30.30 caliber projectile from penetrating. One story in particular was from a now deceased hunting friend who heard the impact and saw the dust fly from the side of the pig but it didn’t kill or wound it!

@@Nemo66577 most animals that roll on mud are herd animals (pigs, elephants, cows, rhinos)... apes and monkeys don't usually do that, their social interactions include grooming, in which they remove parasites and debree from each others fur to assert social standing. If we accept Bigfoot to be some kind of ape it would make more sense for them to have clean fur than the opposite. But that was a nice catch anyway, I never paid attention to that detail before.

I'm going to say that the hair reported to be on them would serve about the same function as a ghillie suit. Breaking up the lines of a body and blending into the background. Also movement is one of the biggest target indicators. The ability to move slowly and smoothly can be as important as moving quickly for a predator.

I’ve lived in the PNW most of my life, and every time I’ve been in those forests, I’ve always had the half serious thought that at any time, I could be surrounded by a family of Sasquatch, and I’d never even know it. Hiding in plain sight reminds me of one of my favorite books as a kid, Outlaw Red. It's about a dog that escapes into the woods. There's a scene where the dog is resting in the brush when some hunters come near him. The book says that an experienced wild animal would have run before the hunters got close, an inexperienced one would have hesitated and risked being seen. The dog stayed where he was. He was familiar with humans and he knew that if he kept still they would pass by, unknowing, and they did.

I am 75 in 3 weeks, and i can still remember the exhilaration of playing hide and seek in the late spring air during twilight and the excitement of having one of my cousins walk right next to me when the shadows played as important role as the hiding place. This was in the early 50s and we were usually rounded up for our goodbyes or our trip home a no matter how much pleading or crying by my cousin (he come put on a show when he didn’t get his way…don’t get me wrong, I love him like a brother and he was willing to do it even though he knew he was going to get a switching (something that reverberated with me when it came to punishment, but I found out that the switching was always done within reason and the real terror came when I pushed my grandfather too far, and he handed me his “Tree” brand knife and told me to get/cut five switches. I gulped and asked, 5? And he said yes, and if they were weak and broke before he was through, I was going to have to go and get 10 more and we would start over. Of course I was really getting a lesson in psychological warfare and it was his way of driving the lesson home. Since I am describing a time and place that you had to live to appreciate, because the second wave of psychological warfare was finding out that you had to unbuckle your belt and drop trousers and grab your ankles to receive your punishment. Although the few strokes that you were given was not the intent. I learned that I should minimize my torment of my siblings to times when no adult was close. Which was basically never, but the pain of being punished soon faded enough that I was willing to take my chances again. But, in the above rare case, I found out later from my grandmother that my stoic grandfather went back to reading the newspaper and a tear or two ran down his cheek. All of this from camouflage and hide and seek. Maybe because I also had the thought of running and hiding from my grandfather, but it was just a fleeting thought because as the old saying goes, “that must be your Ass talking, because your head knows better!”. Thanks, Bob, not sure how long ago this photo hit the net, 2005 or so, BUT remember it well. As a dog lover I remember feeling especially concerned for what appears to be a dog, living or dead, in its left arm. Also, the photo brought to mind the Rock Island state park in Tennessee. In 1998 I was living 4.5 to 5 minutes from that park and enjoyed visiting it with a girlfriend of mine. One afternoon in the spring we left my home overlooking the Caney Fork River to walk the trails at Rock Island S.P. We walked approximately half a mile at mid-day and stopped for a second to sip water and she said: "Booker, she called me Booker, I FEEL like we're being watched from the hill side behind you, don't look but I think someone, or something is watching us." I told her it could be anything from a squirrel to a Bigfoot, maybe a mountain lion or bear. We decided to return to the car post haste, but what she didn't know was I too had the feeling we were being watched. About 20 yards before we stopped for a drink of water, I unbuttoned the safety strap on the holster of my 357 under my shirt on my waist. We never found out what was up that day BUT we were both convinced we may have been walking into a trap set by humans or something else.

It always shocks me how easy it is to hide in plain sight in the forest. As a child, I would sneakily trail hikers on warm summer days, fascinated by their unawareness of my presence. Why? Because.... Well.. Kids are weird I guess. I liked that they didn't see me, but I saw them. Anyways, they never noticed me, and I was a stones throw away at all times. A stones throw for a child, mind you which is not particularly far though it felt like that to me at my size. These were mostly tourists, people from down in the valley and some from cities far away. I lived in the area, and was well aware of all the different spots to stand and crouch. Now I was a child, playing around, with no natural sense of nature, but with knowledge of the forest I was able to avoid any detection from numerous adults over multiple summers. That always stuck by me.

I would argue you "did" have a natural sense of nature and what you were experiencing is the same feeling I imagine Sasquatch have watching us. I also enjoyed hiding and sneaking as a kid, can still remember the feeling. I used to climb a 30-40 ft + elm tree in my neighborhood almost to the top, and just sit there and watch the world go by. I don't know what it is, but... I think I had a similar dream?. Seeing that photo has me covered in goosebumps and its like every bit of me is in fight or flight mode as I type this. Years ago, sometime between 2005-2008 I was at a horse camp that had the campers stay at an off season ski chalet Near Ironwood MI / Bessemer MI and the Blackjack Mountains. We did our camp activities and then were shuttled back to the chalet to rest and prepare for the next day. I had a basement room with another girl and hated it because the window always felt "wrong", like I shouldn't go near it. One night the light outside was blocked by something huge that passed by, I didn't sleep a wink and eventually traded with another girl for a bed in the loft for the rest of the stay. After that incident I swore that whenever I was outside on the back balcony (about 12ft off the ground with a view of the far tree line and the slope trail, maybe 300ft from the back of the chalet) I was being watched. More than once I thought I saw something in the near tree line (20 - 15 ft from the side of the house my old room had been on). While I was in the loft I had dreams about a large hairy arm that would pull up a head that looked into the back porch window doors. It's eyes were dark and so full of malice. Sometimes I'd have dreams from seemingly another perspective. Like I was in the woods looking at what I thought was me on the porch. Whatever I was in the place of was mad.... it felt like it was seething. And I felt a real urge to hurt that version of me... the way I wanted to kill that version was to remove its head. I went to the camp one more time after that year. The next year I again went to the camp and stayed in the same set of chalets but I had the loft from the start this time. That year something that animal control reported was a bear did try to open our door. I had the same unease being on the porch and had the same dreams of this thing looking in windows. Incidentally, my mother and brother came up get me that year and stayed the night after camp let out due to the timing of our flight. My brother had nightmares and my mom while she never said she saw anything did say she felt slightly spooked by the woods. As we drove out to get lunch in Ironwood one last time before heading back to the chalet to get our things, we smelled the worst skunk like rotting odor any of us have ever smelled while on the road leading out of the ski area. We thought maybe a large animal had been struck by a car and died off the road and was rotting. This was July after all. We all remarked how spooky the smell was... and checked for any signs on the way back. We returned 45 minutes later and the smell had disappeared from the roadway. Shit like this makes me believe.... it really does. I don't normally believe in the whole psychic-bigfoot theories, but maybe, just maybe what really is our sense of a predator in our space triggers something in our minds that reminds us violently of the threat these creatures pose. The response I feel looking at that photo doesn't feel like a normal fear.... but it feels like a deep instinctual response to something that wants to end me. Something that no other creature does to me, to any level near this intensity.

Aleksandr Chervyakov mentioned in one of his articles, that mammoths were most likely bulletproof. Not that it would have made a difference, because there were no firearms back then. But it would have left primitive humans with only one way to hunt them: Make them stampede over a cliff, which isn't that easy to do with elephants. They don't panick like horses or bovines, they'll try to fight back. It's likely that the hunters could only do it in the dark and with torches, when the mammoths were disoriented and couldn't tell how large or numerous the hunters were and couldn't clearly see their positions. Trying to kill a mammoth with a spear wouldn't have worked: They had very thick elephant skin + a wall of tough, insulating fur + they probably covered themselves in mud, like modern elephants do to suffocate parasites, cool down or protect thenselves from the sun. The mud baked into the fur would essentially have functioned as a concrete armour, that stone spearheads wouldn't have been able to break through. And under that was skin. And then very thick bone and muscles. The African buffalo, that is much smaller than an elephant and doesn't have the same thick skin, is very difficult to kill, because its skull and horns prevent every normal-size bullet from breaking through to the brain, and the heart can't be reached with regular bullets, because they get stuck in the chest muscles before they even get close to the heart. So you can only hit vital organs with special ammo, and the buffalo won't let you reload. They go into attack mode right away and will kill you. Even if you manage to climb a tree - the buffalo can wait. They hunt down lions and kill them - there's a reason why they're called "Black Death" in Africa.

French guy from Montreal here. I know quite well the region where the photo was taken. Couldn’t be more surprised, as Bigfoot isn’t part of our cultural heritage (like in the BC, Alberta, and even Ontario.) I kinda always thought that Quebec is not mountainous enough to hold a BF population. However, this regional (and quite small) park is located between two of the vastest national parks/reserves where human pop is scarce… As for the package held by the BF (or else?), I think this might be a goat. It is not uncommon for rural households to have a few small farm animals. Could be a dog too : if you research this park on Google Maps, just under the name of the park, it says : « chiens admis », which translates by : dogs allowed!

About the time that the photo was taken. I would have to say the first photo and the recreations were taken during the same year, but different times of the year. I'd imagine that the amount of water flowing in the original photo would mean it was spring during the winter runoff. and then when they went back it was later in the season after the spring run off and the younger shoots had time to grow. Just my opinion.

It's interesting how you talk about the mindset of being stealthy. And I think it plays a large part of how they remain so obscure. You can have the training and the perfect hiding place, but what tops it all off is having the mindset of staying hidden. I grew up in the woods and played my fair share of hide and seek in them. When I moved to the suburbs I wasn't used to being noticed (more of the quite loner that doesn't get many chances speak/express myself in family events). for reference I'm 6'2 and I have lost cound of the amount of times where I have been standing in a spot (in a corner or more out in the open) and people just didn't notice me to the point they jump. When I put some effort later to be more out there and talk to people these occurrences happened less and less. I'm no expert but I think there is something to it. I think it helps that I grew up watching a lot of nature documentaries so I might have subconsciously picked up on the behaviours I saw on screen and had lots of time to put it into practice.

The only way I can translate it is from an anime called Hunter x Hunter's perspective. I have no clue the actual scientific terminology, so I'll use HxH's "Nen (aura)." The ability to turn off your Zetsu (aura presence). I was able to do it as a child and into adulthood. I mastered it more in the military. Some recruits who went to sniper school learned ways to conceal themselves from enemies. But I always had a hidden talent for it without trying. I'm 6' 223lbs (205 back then). So I'm not a small object either. I grew up in the inner city, suburbs, and country. I experienced the best of all three environments. I've always had the ability to surprise people or walk up on people without them hearing me or them noticing me in their presence. And this is literally without me even trying to be sneaky. If I tried to sneak I think I'd get caught as opposed to just walking naturally.😂 I've scared and surprised so many people, including my own parents. Which is funny because my dad was the same way too. He could be a ghost at times. Mastered it in the Marines too. We used to would see who could surprise each other the most. Like I said, it happened more when we weren't even trying. So my long drawn out point is, if we can do it as natural humans on our own turf... Then think how naturally a lion, tiger, or any other animal/creature in nature who has THOUSANDS of years of evolution to enhance their "Zetsu" from predators, prey, or intruders in their habitat. It's not hard. Movement is the #1 indicator of a presence. Regardless of how bad a person's vision is, movement is highly noticable. Best way to blend in, is NOT be the only object that's being seen moving.

Also I was going to say it looks like it has a baboon/mandrill like muzzle, which is interesting since you don't see that. They usually present with a gorilla or chimp like face. My little brother's first lucid dream was shared with me, also lucid. I didn't think it was real until he told me his side of it the next day, and what he described was exactly what I saw and did (though I saw it from a separate perspective). Same landmarks, animals, clothes, unusual events, and use of rope to save him. It takes a couple thousand words to describe it in full. I've also had mundane dreams come true in exacting detail years later, after remembering them off and on during the intervening years (which rules out mere deja vu). Your friend wasn't *just* dreaming, he was in the presence of a creature that's at least on our level, if not beyond.

I love this video Bob. I have wanted you to discuss the possibility of different types of sasquatch for some time. I mean type is a way similar to types of bear e.g. Black bear, brown bear, sun bear. I would be interested in hearing your opinion of the supposed different types of sasquatches, e.g. Patty, Wood Booger, Gugwe, Genoskwa. I have often heard the Gugwe and Genoskwa described differently, but the drawing in your video makes me think they are likely the same thing.

I saw them when one moved her head, or I wouldn't have known they were there. Even with all the leaves off the trees they were the same color as the bark. The dogs smelled them, but the wind was against them and they couldn't pin it down. The deer held perfectly still as I snapped a couple pics with my phone and then moved the dogs on. They weren't 50 feet away and you can't see a thing in the pictures. Had a similar experience when we startled a bald eagle roosting by a deer trail next to the river. By the time I got the phone out it was too far away. They're so big! Anyway, take some hikes and try to get some wildlife shots and you'll have a lot more sympathy for people who tried to get a photo of Bigfoot.

Or maybe it was a vision shown to him by the native American spirits in the woods to show him what these creatures are capable of. 18:56 that reminds me of the "valley of headless men", in the Nahanni National park reserve, numerous cases of trappers in the 1800's/1900's going missing, only to be found with their heads removed, ripped off. There was a tribe of natives in the area, but they had left the valley over night, even though they were known to other tribes as warlike and brave. I had chills throughout your friends story. Something similar happened to me while camping last summer. It was only the last night and we were in a cabin, but the sliding glass door was open with only a screen. I was paralyzed with fear and as soon as I would start to doze, something would bang on the wall of the cabin. We had heard whoops and screams for days prior, my children would whoop back. That same night, a tree, not a branch but a tree was flung from across the river, right across from where my wife and children were swimming. It scared my wife so badly she wouldn’t stay outside at the fire that night. It was in a very remote area on private land at an airbnb. I had a 44 next to me that night, literally a foot away from my grasp, but I was so scared I couldn’t move to grab it or shut the door. I finally did shut the door at around 4am due to a crow cawing incessantly. Oddly enough, and I do not know if there is truth to this, but on our drive home the next day, I was listening to the facts with how to hunt. He conducted an interview with four village elders of a native tribe. One of the ladies said if you hear a crow or raven cawing in the woods, it means danger is near. It was a very odd coincidence. Still gives me chills. I have never felt like that in my entire life and will never forget it. Edit: I have one of the whoop sounds on my channel. Only videos I have up are this whoop. It was the second to last night, I think. You freaked me out when u said the females make cooing or hooting noises and to be careful with children.

There's nothing more frustating than being paralyzed by fear, that must have been horrible. Sounds like you and Bob's friend were both being subject to their infrasound. Thankfully you and the family are okay. The way you described it, if a bigfoot was around and wanted to do something to you doesn't seem like you'd have much of chance to react. I also thought the banging on the wall was perhaps me dozing off and imagining it. Two weeks later my 8yr old and 13yr old were talking about the trip and my son said he heard something hitting the wall at night. My daughter said “omg, me too! I thought it was u or dad shutting a door or something.” It was cool to hear the vocalizations, but I think my kid’s incessant whooping for 4 days may have caused them to become irritated.

Crows don't caw at night. That definitely wasn't a bird. I have sleep paralysis sometimes, and it is the most frightening, frustrating, horrible, experience. Total helplessness while being aware. I can't scream,move, or force my eyes open. The eyes thing is absolute terror. I'm a big man who has been in dangerous fights and life or death situations, and I never panic. Well, when the terror occurs, that's nothing but panic. I freaking hate it and hope it NEVER happens again! While it's happening I feel like something is there to kill me and I can't even make a squeak. Thanks for sharing and I hope you don't have to go through that again..

A few years ago I was camping in an area close to Bigfoot territory in Ohio near Salt Fork State Park. It was late at night and I had a fire going and was sitting by it reading a book and drinking a beer. Around 11:00 p.m. I heard a strange rustling in the trees behind my tent. Then I heard low guttural growls. I stood up, turned around and as I did a huge hairy creature emerged from the woods not more that 25 feet from me. It stood 8 feet tall and had to weigh in excess of 450 pounds. I stood motionless not knowing what to do when the creature began dictating the narrative. It slowly lifted its right hand and pointed to the beer I was holding in my hand. I immediately realized the beast wanted a COLD beer. And why not? It was at least 85 degrees and so humid you could cut the air with a knife. I popped a brewsky and gave it to him and motioned for him to come sit by my fire. He capitulated and as we sat by the fire I lit a cigarette. He instantaneously became agitated and started motioning to my mouth and then to his mouth. Damn, the Dude wanted a smoke. So I lit one for Bfoot and we continued socializing, drinking our beer and having a few smokes. Eventually Bfoot's eyelids began to droop. The beer was making him sleepy. He arose, waved goodbye and walked away, whistling as he disappeared into the woods. I haven't encountered the creature again, but after that I never venture into the woods without my Bud Light and a carton of Marlboros. Hopefully I'll meet the Big Guy again with his wife and children. If so, I hope the kids are at least 21. No way I'm doing time for serving minors. I got a rep to protect.

I think that an undiscovered or even forgotten hominid or great APE with close to our intelligence or equal could easily hide from us if it wanted to. Theres alot of wilderness out there that humans barely touch, especially these days. not manny people just stumbling through the woods. they stick to paths and dont watch their surroundings. The creature would have to live in small family groups and not use fire. Neanderthals are a prime example of hominids who fit this destription. The max pop is estimated at like 60-90k at one time. imagine only having 60k individuals living throughout the US and each one instictually hides from Us. Maybe after the great battle the natives speak of they decided to hide. theres a guy from Maine who lived in the woods next to a populated pond for over 20 years without human contact. He would break into the cabins on the ponds to steal food. He didnt hunt. I get sleep paralysis bad. I had a terrible werewolf sleep paralysis dream one night where it clibmed onto my bed and bit my hand. ive probably had hundred of sleep paralysis dreams its happened since i was a kid but this one was different. no being i had seen in my dream had actually touched me. When i woke up I had a big scratch on my hand that I hope I got at work but I hadn't noticed the night before. That "dream" has been burned in my memory for years. Your description of your buddies dream gave me shivers and reminded me of that. The feeling of not being able to shout but being aware is a common sleep paralysis thing

That’s nuts man… I’ve had that sleep paralysis a couple times in my life and it’s legitimately terrifying. I’ve tried explaining it to my girlfriend and she’s given me the typical medical explanation, but it just feel too bizarre to be that IMO

@J Gray97 the crazy thing is that people tend to see the same shit. I got it as a kid here and there and had no idea what was happening. Then around 16 I had a bad bout for like a week straight and I goggled " asleep but awake while dreaming can't move" lol and found out it was a thing. I also get wicked crazy vivid dreams in general.

For my money, it looks extremely gorrilan - gorrila-like, that is. Just upright and bigger, *much* bigger. I think you may have underestimated its distance from the camera, because compared to Blue Shirt guy, it is gargantuan - at least 9/10ft. And from the side-by-side hilight/lolight you did, it appears to have a light-colored object tucked in the crook of its left arm, like an underarm carry. A prey animal, I'm assuming, though I don't know of any white-furred prey species of that size in that area. So I'd say yes, probably gigantopithecus pangaea - the common ogre. Bigfoot. A biiig bigfoot.

Another video with great insight, Bob! Funny story, I study Eastern Algonquian dialects. Most of what is preserved of Powhatan, via settler diaries and notes, is around 300 words, and a good number of those words are slang terms for genitals. Really would have preferred more bigfoot-related ones, for sure!

I think the first photo was taken in the spring and the video in the middle of summer.There is less leaves on the trees in the first photo and much more water in the river(spring runoff)Excellent job as usual,this is one of my favorite channels.

I like your videos, honest to god; and usually I applaud your objectivity. But honestly, in this one, I have to say, I think you're reaching... Looking at the comparison at 8:47, do you really not see the one major difference in the two shots? The lighting and the shadows? The location just above and below the guy in the first shot is far more shadowed in the second. There's no ''figure pushing the trees aside'''... Those ARE the trees, in shadow and different lighting, giving the APPEARANCE of a figure. Honestly, I think this is just a case of pareidolia that you have spent way too much time on. If you look at the exact same spot in the first, ''lighter'' side [the image on the left] you can even see the same features which get ''colored'' by shadow in the ''darker'' image [on the right]. The more I look at it, the more I just see foliage in shadows. Sorry, but I think you missed this one. :(

Interesting. In the Superstition Mountains I would hear noises at night time that could be described as Sasquatch. Howls, stomping and breaking trees, getting closer in the dark. In those same mountains many people have gone missing looking for the Lost Dutchman Gold. Apparently many of them were found decapitated. I have never heard of a Bigfoot twisting heads off of people before, but that brings about this memory now of the old Supes.

Having lived in Georgia the fog I sit in my pick up. My sixth sense told me to stay in the truck. There are A lot of feral or wild Russian bore. As the fog was thick I waited till it lifted. But looking at the woods & the foggy fields I could imagine a hundreds of years ago it would have been very similar. I waited for my safety. I think you spoke about a float trip in Georgia, having been in Georgia hunting & fishing 🎣 you mentioned the tied up Cottonmouths you saw. On a downed limb! I could be wrong maybe it was someone else. The Largest Cottonmouth & two small ones was tied in knots! WTF does that Something No Human Could possibly do this & the limb was pulled down. The fisherman had seen many things but What Kind if Creature did this , the fisherman pushed the limb all the way down to drown all 3 Snakes. They must have done something bad maybe bit a juvenile.
