Something I’d like to add onto the ‘inaccurate representation’ critique you mentioned: a lot of English readers (who I see that most from) actually only got to know the series through people on social media talking about how it looked like good rep- at least, during the first book. I would say that critique comes from those who read the first book because they heard it had representation, got the second volume, and were disappointed when it became apparent that it wasn’t. Still, I think it’s a really good story if you go in with the mindset that the different Elles are more metaphorical than literal (though I still don’t really get the sextuplet thing). And could not agree more with loving the visuals!! Definitely a strong suit of the comic. 10/10 ramble, been scouring through the desert for any Elle(s) posting :p
