I got so excited when you pulled Dance of Thieves off your shelf! 🤗 I also read that duology after Powerless when you said earlier this year Lauren was influenced by it, and I LOVED it!! I immediately bought and read Morrighan by Mary right after (which was a great novella) and her backlist series. I hope to read that in 2025.

One of my favorite books that I think you’ll absolutely love is Metal Slinger. It’s one of the best romantacies I’ve ever read and it’s best to go in completely blind and just fall in love with the book. Just trust on this one and you’ll have the best time.

I very rarely comment on yt videos (you have turned me into a non-silent watcher through vlogmas, which honestly is really fun to share my thoughts so thanks for encouraging us silent watchers haha). The only book I've read that you shared is Iron Flame, and I was also super nervous to read it because everyone was saying it's not as good as Fourth Wing but I really enjoyed it. I love world building and complex fantasy worlds so it was right up my alley. You've now made me want to read Dance of Thieves, it sounds really good and like something I would enjoy. Some of my favourite books this year have been Tales from the cafe (it's the second book in before the coffee gets cold series but you can read it on its own and it's absolutely heartbreaking) and The Shepherd Kind series by Rachel Gillig (so good). I also loved The Book Thief (because I love books that make me cry, and Pride and Prejudice, but I've read it before so doesn't really count). I love your videos!

I'm a country girl living in the city for uni currently and I was missing that country vibe so I started reading Elsie Silver's novels after you mentioned them last year and holy shit, I don't have a ton of time to read but when I do I pick one of them up! Hi Steph, thank you for this video. I love seeing you enjoy books that I also enjoy! Funny Story is my favorite Emily Henry book so far. It just did something to me that I didn't know I needed. It was super relatable character wise. It really made me smile and tear up and feel every emotion possible! Also I loved the blue of the cover, I remember seeing it at the bookstore and it just stood out to me. I've been a bit afraid of dipping my toe back into the fantasy genre for some reason but the more you talk about it the more I feel like I should just give it a try. I used to read lots of fantasy when I was younger and I would eat it up but at some point it just changed and the books coming out were not the same anymore... I'll definitely look into some of them and give them another shot. One of my favorite fantasy series ever is The mortal instruments! This year was my first time reading an Elsie Silver books (wild love was the one I read) and I must say it put me in a lil slump at first but then I gave it another shot and flew through it. I definitely want to look into her other books. Just for the summer was also my favorite book I've read this year. It was SO good! It made me feel every emotion on the planet and I felt so seen. It will forever hold a very special place in my heart.

you have to read scarred by emily mcintire. it is a dark romance but isn't too dark in my opinion (it was my first dark romance book) but the slowburn is done so well and the plot is genuinely so good and enjoyable.
