Ahh Celica's! I have a 03 GTS which I would never part with. 158k and drives better now than at 50k. MOP the headlights and polish with a uv protector. HIDs help... Led bulbs replacement for interior and boot/trunk, brake lights, reverse (bright!) and sidelights freshen it up. Clean the pcv valve with lubricant and the maf sensor with electrical cleaner. Carb clean the throttle body and get it shiny! Green cotton panel filter and ensure the sparks are iridium. Oil change to Millers 5/30 and Toyota oil filter (which is the best filter you can buy for them!). Switch the vacuum hoses out (send me the measurements and I'll send you a set of my own custom build). Put high quality injector cleaner in and enjoy the new lease of life she has!

mine, 2001 2zzge 6 sp manual, doesn't have the lower grill. I thought someone has removed that or something but good to know that they didn't come with it anyways!

Great video, even with terrible drivers around you. I too have a lower grille on my to do list, but I remember asking the dealer what the cost would be, and they said just under $80. I heard that you might get new headlights, but consider getting yours restored first. I just had mine done, and they literally look brand new!

Please make daily Celica videos. I understand that's not realistic but you are one of the only KZbinrs that own a Celica. It's refreshing to see my car represented in a video. You should make in-depth videos about changes you make to the car. Then again this is the only video of yours I've seen.

JishMarphy I would love to make videos every day, and I aim to do that at some point. However, with my major and school and my lack of money (lol) it's hard to get interesting things for the car all the time and make videos of them. Just know that I'm trying my hardest to make quality video content and put them out as frequently as I can :) I'm glad you're enjoying the videos and want more!

Jet Absolutely. The oil burning issue, the transmission, the leather interior, and the hp bump would make that worth it in every way to me.

Ulises Gonzalez trace out the door panel on a large sheet of paper, then cut some fabric out a little larger than that trace, then just tuck it in with a butter knife! Easy! :)

You should decently consider painting the whole interior of you celica. I drive a 2001 Celica GT (5 speed) and me and my dad painted everything inside and it looks great! I would show you a picture but you don't have social media as so we could interact. Mine is all blue inside

The grill comes with all the Celicas. I can't remember if you said you bought it used or not, but that could be the reason why. The grill and lip are the first things I see that are broken/scraped on Celicas. Not my taste, but I would keep the stock armrest. I rarely rest my arm anyways. Even if I would, I always have drinks in my cup holders. Poor design on Toyota's end but when you think about it, there wasn't really a better place to put them especially since our window controls are in the center (also poor design). But I like your personal touches, mostly the taillights!

I just got a used 2001 Celica GT (5-Speed) as my first car, and it came with the TRD exhaust, but the headlights are horrible. I can't even see at night without brights, and even then it is like the low beams on a newer car. Is it like that on yours? I am looking for new ones, but they are all around $150-$250 😭 I just bought new tail lights after seeing your video about your tail light installation too, but I am going to have to look at how to replace them again.

+Upshift Unlimited It's up to you, but I prefer the oem style headlights. Then I'll put in LEDs instead of halogen. The halos just looks weird on the Celica. Nice mods btw. I think I'm gonna add some leather covers too. +Upshift Unlimited It's not cheap. About 600 bucks for the exhaust before installation. But I think it's the best exhaust aside from TRD. Great sound at low rpm and a noticeable gain. Yes I'd recommend it if you have the money to spare.

exhaust is a good idea, idk about the intake though, unless its a really good proven kind its not worth it, i have one that had been installed by the previous owner and it doesn't feel right almost as if the car is struggling to get air threw

if you haven't heard of them, google monkey wrench racing, they are tuner specialists for the celica and have tons of performance mods for both celica engines. for GT celica, the most popular is cold air intake and header. Hope you consider that first when you save up some money, i would love to see how it transforms the car! I plan to do that aswell but i gotta get some new tires first :/

I wish my 04 celics was a GTS. I feel depressed driving the auto. But It's whatever. I put to much into it, 4 new speakers, subs, stereo, halo headlights, tail lights, etc. I just don't think its a worthy investment to swap at this point so i'm stuck haha. Keep up the videos! not many celi communities out here.
