Thank you so much for this very helpful video. I love the colour combos you demonstrate and it has definitely given me ideas and inspiration for my own colouring. Thank you for taking the time!

Alena, this video was fantastic! So helpful. I have been using Inktense as y favorite pencil set but there are so many combinations for blending that I have never even considered. Your video gave me so many great ideas that I wouldnt have thought of, particularly with the Dusky purples and the Madder brown,red oxide orangey colors. I rarely use Navy but with your combinations, i surely will. Thank you so much for your suggestions!

Yay! I've been hoping you'd do this video! I love inktense - the colours are so nice and strong.

You say that you do not like the Mallard color. I understand that because I felt the same way. But recently i blended it with Iron green and it looks quite lovely. Give it a try!
@ColoringwithAlena5 жыл бұрын
It's not that I totally dislike Mallard...but there is Teal green in the set which is quite similar... and I use it more often. Thanks for the advice, I'll try to mix Mallard with Iron green!

Maria with Inktense I used waterbrushes sometimes, but my recent favorite is Brush Jackson's : Icon : Sable Synthetic Mix Quill No.10/0 goo.gl/19fTur from Jacksons - I use it with watercolors, Neocolors and Inktense. I also like this set Jackson's Icon Brush Set goo.gl/V7MV8N P.S. Cilandia Lane, thank you or your help 💐

Oh my gosh! I was waiting for this video, I requested it! And I was following your tutorial of the Wall of China just earlier and I was thinking " I can't wait for her to do her favorite inktense colors video " Guess I didn't have to wait long lol. THANK YOU

I wasn't sure about this video... apart from several reds and vivid greens I really like all Inktense... but I tried to mention my most frequently used

@@ColoringwithAlena You are right about the reds. I have swatched them and when they are light, most of them look the same. I do love Poppy, Cherry, and Chilli.

@@susankievman642 I think that reds are my longest Inktense pencils, LOL. I would gladly switch couple of similar reds to better variety of browns

When you mention Cold yellow or Lemon Yellow, you are talking about the INKTENSE Sun Yellow, correct? There is no lemon in the 72 set
@ColoringwithAlena5 жыл бұрын
OMG, I'm so sorry! Names on my pencils are faded and not visible...so I babbled something stupid. I meant Sherbet Lemon - my favorite pencil for drawing light. Sun Yellow is also good, but I love combination of slightly colder Sherbet lemon with greens better

Do you use any another brands of watercolor pencils additionally?
@ColoringwithAlena4 ай бұрын
Koh-iNoor Mondeluz, поскольку у них есть оттенки кожи, и проще получить пастельные и нежные тона в дополнение к ярким Инктенсам. Но я не особо часто использую акварельные карандаши.

Do you color with Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils? Will you be doing your favorite colors with those?
@ColoringwithAlena5 жыл бұрын
I don't have them so I can't make video, but I assume as they have colors identical to those of Polychromos, I would use the same pencils and color combos
@susankievman6425 жыл бұрын
Yes, they have the same colors. And numbers. I imagine the blending is different with colored pencils than watercolor pencils though.When you add water, it changes how it looks and how it blends.
@ColoringwithAlena5 жыл бұрын
I know that it's different with watercolor pencils and with intensity of pigment once water is added. But I very rarely use water with watercolor pencils ( I have KIN Mondeluz watercolor pencils and Aquablends by Spectrum Noir), I mostly use them dry. If I need watercolor effect, it's easier for me to use watercolor paints or Inktense
