Sometimes I take Mom out and we hit craft stores and dollar stores looking for supplies. This weekend we had 55% off coupons at Micheals.... and we found the collage medium. We were so happy to get it for under $6 Canadian. I was not planning on spending $ there... we went to 2 stores and I managed to keep my total under $20.

Thanks Jennifer - great information! I appreciate the time you take to make all of these videos to help us avoid product that don't perform as well as what you have used. Do you have any tips for keeping the Glitter pen (and their clear glaze pen) from not working after one use. I find that if it sits for awhile I can't get them to work again. I store them point down, could that be the problem?

I have the Spectrum Noir due to the price point. I have a couple of Wink of Stellas which I bought on sale to try. I love love love the shimmer spritz. I also bought the Nuvo drops, most of the different types, just because they were on sale. I prefer the sequins without the holes. I couldn't wait to get the wobblers for my grandson's cards. Since he couldn't stay on earth with us I just couldn't buy them. I really don't have any kids in my family. I guess that's why I love to see Lila so much. Give her extra Christmas HUGS and tell her I know Santa will be extra good to her because she's so sweet.

This has been SO incredibly helpful !! Over the past month or so as I have been feverishly making Christmas cards... I have run into some issues with the choices I made for embossing powders.. One that was supposed to be gold glitter, but when heat embossed .. (and yes just barely turned melted) it lost all glitter and was just kind of a baby food yellow.. I was very disappointed.. It was not on your list by the way.. ; > Also , the whole which shimmer pen was best .. and the white pen questions.. which is best.. Your exhaustive research is so very much appreciated !!!! : >

Very useful video! However, I do have a question that may be silly. I noticed that you sprayed that Tsukineko shimmer spray on your crafting mat which I have accidentally did to. I’m just wondering how did you clean it? Somehow I ended up with a black sparkling mat now. 😂I make crafting videos too and it really add some unpleasant glares sometimes. Just wondering.

Hi Jennifer, thanks again for doing all the hard work in putting together the 2017 favorite things videos. I know they are an awful lot of work for you and it DOES NOT go un-noticed. *One thing I did notice when you were comparing the Hero Arts Whie & the Gina K Detail White, I would like to point out. The Hero Arts white is not a true white by looking at your images. It's an off-white, kinda cream, while Gina K definitely looks true white. That would make a huge difference for me, in making a decision as to which to buy or even which use on my project. Could you please just give a close look for us, I'm sure other folks noticed too, and leave a comment back? If that's not an option, then, address it in an upcoming video please? It would be so much appreciated, just like all your wonderful teaching/beautiful card making videos.💟💟💟

I've had a lot of trouble using WOW's glittered embossing powder. It appears to stick but brushes right off. I use Versamark, then a heat and stick type powder, which I heat, then immediately apply the glittered embossing powder. I just can't get it to stay stuck. Any suggestions? Thanks so much for all of your videos. They are wonderful. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
@jennifermcguireink7 жыл бұрын
they have plain glitters in jars that look just like the glitter embossing powder. are you sure it is an embossin gpowder?
@phyllisnufer7 жыл бұрын
It is embossing powder, but I misspoke on the brand. It's Ranger, not WOW.
@CricketsBay7 жыл бұрын
Use Versamark and the embossing powder with a heatgun. The sticky embossing powder doesn't go under regular embossing powder. Sticky embossing powder is for sticking foil and stuff to cards.
@phyllisnufer7 жыл бұрын
It didn't work with just the Versamark, so I thought I'd try the heat and stick. That didn't work either.

Jen, I first became acquainted with you through my HeroArts discovery so long ago; I'm glad to see you are still a Hero Arts gal, as am I. Big question: I share a love of embellishing and finishing touches with you...how in the world do you keep cycling through all your goodies so they don't become "stale" without frequent use? My biggest nightmare/failure has been the Signo White Pen: I just threw away another one just this morning, because it just doesn't work for me if I ignore it for a month!
