If you had time why not leave bridge 1 and head to another bridge? Maybe sharks on one and not another. Also, maybe could have ditched the chum?
@dillonfishing Жыл бұрын
I’ve gotten this question a bunch on this video but I’ll respond once here. Chumming brings in wayyy more fish then if I had just thrown bait and walked the bridge. Trust me I tried. I spent multiple chum-less days on the bridge with literally zero fish to show for it. The sharks will find you either way, as long as you’re catching fish they’ll sense you out and track you down. 🤙

Excellent video, we're down here right now and we too live in NJ. Been coming down for 30 years now, used to camp in Long Key State Park for a month at a time during the winter and have caught everything imaginable. Best catch this trip so far was a 25" permit very close to where you're fishing. Sometimes releasing bleeding fish and chum in the water seems to attract those sharks, have had the same thing happen many times. We used to catch them for fun but no more. Are you down in the Keys right now? We're here for about another week.

Im just wondering the whole time, what if you fall into the water? Is it possible to survive that height? Are there possibilities to get back on land or atleast up on one of the pillars? And what about the sharks, would they pose a threat to a human in there?
@Foodforestculture11 ай бұрын
Old comment but its really not that high 20-30 ft tops. You would definitely survive the initial fall if you went clean into the water. The problem is the current is usually ripping through here very fast and the pilings are high off the water, not to mention these massive bull sharks that are attracted to a large splash hitting the water. You would probably only be able to climb on one of those pilings if you were an excellent swimmer and athlete!
