This is why you start your dog getting used to grooming early! I thought it was a Shih Tzu before the cut, but after the groom, it looks to be a Maltese/Shih Tzu. Beautiful dog and perfect manners!

@@veroniquecote3852 No matter what I show them they all do a rush job bc its all about making $ ...to do this you have to sculpt the face, no harsh scissor lines. they just either can't do it, or they don't want to put the time into it bc there's another dog on the list. I live in Florida , so groomers are very busy bc of the climate. Maybe that's why.

This is the best video I've seen on especially grooming the head. Mine is almost identical to this dog. Right now, she looks like the BEFORE dog, almost exactly. I shear her body to half an inch all over, but what I have the most difficulty with is the LEGS! I can never get them nice and uniform like you did with this dog. Do you have a link in your tutorials that shows how to do the legs too? Please. 🐶💕⚘❤

I love all your videos. I think you're great. Can I give you a suggestion? Maybe you should use your clipper with the guard around the head and under the ears. I feel you work your hand really hard with the thinning shears. I can see your still young and you will eventually suffer from hand issues. The constant opening and closing the scissors with your hand. Will hurt the nerve in your thumb. Then it will becomes painful to groom. The pain will run from your thumb up your arm. I'm just giving some suggestions so you won't hurt yourself and ruin the abilities to groom. I love your work.🐶

I agree. I don't do anything with shears I can do with a Wahl Bravura and snap-on combs first, then touch up with shears at the end. As a result I have been grooming for 40+ years and have the wrists of a 20 year old - whereas I know 20 year olds who do things the hard way and their wrists and hands are shot.

I wish I could completely scissor a face. Do you think chunkers vs thinners are better? I usually use a comb attachment in reverse for the top of the head and blend it, but scissoring it completely gives it such a smoother look. I’ve been grooming for about a year now and I’m still not satisfied with most faces. Your technique is amazing and very educating, thank you for your videos!
