I have been using HOKA One's for the past 6-months and really like them! I may have to give the Speedgoat a try now. Thanks for the great review!

These are my favorite trail running and rainy weather running shoe! You got the BEST colors!!!! My colors aren't so great! The only thing I don't like is that they wear out in the bottom cushion pretty quickly for the price!

I went with some salamon trail running shoes super light minimal cushion and I feel like not having enough cushion is making my feet hurt after 6-8 miles think I’m gonna check these out!

Have you tried the Challenger 6 as comparison? I wounder as i used the challengers and they just run waaaay to hot for me, i cant keep using them. Not feeling too sure about speedgoat, wouldnt waste another chunk of money. (I easily run hot even in mild weather)

I love my Saucony Peregrines. Have two pair (one is the ST version). They fit me like slippers and have a surprising amount of cushion.
@skebqc3 жыл бұрын
@@bihlygoat Love the Peregrines too! but then, Xodus came along (like adding 1/4" of pwrrun stuff under your peregrines). I.m around 50km in them, and so far the peregrines are getting less time outside to play lol

Very interested in these! Gonna try them on my foot (narrow, flat/low arch, narrow heel). What is the shape of your foot, since the Speedgoat 4 seems to fit them so well? :) You do mention wide

Footwear is super personal and depends on you. I've used the shoes with everything from a 5lbs pack to 50lbs pack.

Great timing on this for me. Long, high climbs, a sole blowout, and lots of heel pain have me looking for better shoes. Leaning toward more ankle support, but this is good info. Thanks! Dave J
@bihlygoat3 жыл бұрын
Hokas will definitely blow out the sole on you. I’ve had 3 pairs - all soles started to seriously delaminate at less than 50 miles. One has a 3-finger hole punch through the foam of the heel. Look for shoes with one continuous piece of rubber on the sole. Not little bits glued on with exposed foam in between. Unless you’re just going to run on buffed paths.

Hi Justin, this video got me excited about Hoka. Will be going to the store in a few day to also try this one. I do have a question though: I am a landscape photographer and will be going to the Faroe Islands in november (high chance of cold and wet conditions), are the Hoka shoes also good in these conditions? I would rather go for the Goretex version or perhaps looks at the Anacapa Mid GTX as I also don't frequently do these hike since I live in the flat Netherlands. Would love to hear your opinion/advice, thanks in advance :-)

I'd go non-goretex
