My Sister's Keeper was my first Jodi book and the one I keep thinking about even after reading it years ago circa 2004 when I was a teenager. I'm an older sister and my younger was born with cerebral palsy and I could relate a lot to the younger sister having thoughts about a sick sister and all that..though I lost my own sister in 2019 and now I relate to that quote about still having a sister/sib even when they are gone. I've also read Nineteen Minutes/Sing Me Home/ and Salem Falls...out of those the other one I think about a lot is Sing Me Home because I'm a part of LGBTQ community and again I could relate to parts of that. I love every Jodi book I read and hope/plan to read more of her stuff eventually.

I love finally seeing booktubers talking about Jodi Picoult. I’ve read all but her latest two books and am currently rereading all of them. (I’m reading Handle with Care right now) I also recently realized that she has recurring characters in her books like the lawyer Jordan McAfee. I definitely agree with these picks, but I think I would put House Rules in my favorites as well.

Yes she does have a few minor characters that you see more than once! House Rules was good, just not an all time fav for me!

Leaving Time was the first book to make me cry at the end. I remember I wanted to finish it before I would go outside to swim with my friends and they were so confused as to how a book had made me cry when they came in to get me. Lol

First video I've caught of yours and loved it. I've been reading Jodi for years and we have so many favorites! I think I'll have to add Nineteen Minutes to my tbr - It's been on my shelf for a few years but have never picked up it up. I look forward to reading it!

Great review! I love Jodi Picoult and agree with everything you said ! I’ve read all the books you mentioned except small great things , but I have it and plan to read it soon . The only one that comes to mind that you didn’t mention was the Pact that might have been the first one I read by her .. another great one 😊

I think I need to go back and re-read some of her earlier/ not as popular ones! They might hit differently in adulthood versus young adulthood

Her books seem so impactful. Not something thrown together but something she put so much thought into. I only hear great things!

Love her books for all the reasons you mentioned. I met her twice at author events. She’s cool! Her books really make me consider multiple points of view. My Sisters Keeper haunted me! Her twists surprise me every time.

What an awesome video!!!! I love hearing about all of these books! Makes me want to read all the ones I haven’t yet! I feel like I’m never disappointed in her stories. Also I totally agree with the statement that in her books you would think she’s always an expert in that field. When I read small great things she talked just as a labor and delivery nurse would- I loved that! It felt like I was getting report from a coworker…
