Yesssss Yuka.... Toast in Japan is crazy thick. I always choose thin slices, haha. To most Europeans, the bread itself, is not the highlight, but whatever you put on top of it, butter and cheese, or butter and Jam, honey etc... So I choose thin, because I want to taste the topping more than the bread, haha.... (But I know the Japanese way of eating it, and both ways are good in their own ways...) It's funny, yesterday I was talking with one of my Thai friends about it's difficult to find big English Breakfast in Japan, unless you go to a big international hotel breakfast buffet, I can only think of "Sara Beth" and "Dean & Deluca" to find Eggs Benedict. Do you know good places for Eggs Benedict? Thank you for another nice, fun and cozy video Yuka. I will see you in Japan soon. ^^ Thomas

There's plenty of Thick cut Bread in the West. Look up Texas Toast, Garlic Toast, or Corn Bread for example. It's also okay to have late breakfasts in the states, it's called Brunch. We have some restaurants that serve breakfast food all day.

Nice video. Even after 13 years in Japan I still don't like Azuki or Anko really. I have tried and tried to eat Nagoya style breakfast bread but I just cant enjoy it. The fluffy cakes in Namba are the best breakfast cakes to me!
