Features
Party-Based Strategy: Select from a pool of unique heroes, each with skills which inspire vastly different strategies and customization. Position your heroes on the battlefield to influence the outcome of battle.
Explore Dynamic Terrain: Each playthrough provides a new journey, changing not only your path, but the bosses you must conquer. Freely move between 3 subareas in each act, rewarding those with the knowledge of where their party can flourish, and where it will falter.
Loot!: Collect ancient and magical items which augment your party's stats and abilities. Should your Wildmage be a glass cannon, or a front line bruiser? The decision is yours.

Now I've been playing this game for some time and I like the learning curve (even tho I kinda beat the game in both of my 2 tries) BUT I have a question because it's still kinda confusing for me and you gotta be way more experienced than me... So... When a weapon or a character has an attack that, for example, poisons or doing any other damage over time does that means it's the total damage or it's the sequential damage and is it the same with healing? In other words: Weapon/character has something that deals 15 burn dmg over 10 seconds (plus it says that the burn means it ticks like every 2 seconds for that amount of time); does that means it's 15 dmg/s for 10 secs = 150 dmg in total [or is it 15 dmg per 2 seconds = 75 dmg in total?] *_or_* is 15 dmg in total over the period of 10 seconds so 1.5 dmg per sec? And does it go with same equation with the healing-over-time?

@@lov3masterns What that means is that the effect of the enemy getting burned will last for a total of 10 seconds but the enemy's will only actual take damge every 2 seconds. Basically what im sayong is that the enimies dont get burned costantly. They will only take 15 burn damge every 2 seconds but the time that this effect last for is 10 seconds. 10 divided by 2 = 5 and 5×15 = 75 burn damge. Also yes this same rule does apply to healing affects that work overtime.

Hey, Retro. Just a tip, the gladiator's passive ability is retroactive. So even if you pick him or upgrade the ability later, it still counts every previous victory and gives you HP accordingly.

I was really hoping Reto would put the Shield Charm on the Gladiator, since his Max HP would increase with every victory and the Shield Charm gave a Shield to all adjacent allies that scaled off of Max HP. Could have saved more than a few KO's

Just bought the game and played a couple of games, the Gladiator kinda seems like a must have as 4'th/5'th hero. Had him with 1600 hp along with the relic that causes 50% of dmg taken to become bleed dmg, along with the relic that negates all dots. Basically an unkillable frontline.

Only halfway through this vid atm, but just wanted to mention since you kept bringing it up in the last Let's Play vid too. "Adjacent: Refers to anyone in the same 4 tile grouping." It pops up on the tooltips, but you keep glossing over it. :D

for a game with so many adjacent effects you think they would make it clearer and less confusing with the 2 boxes, most games clarify adjacent as side by side even though adjacent just means next to. The split in the grid makes it look like technically only 1 character can be adjacent at a time.

So the hero's symbol seems like it would have been much better served on the gladiator than the mage. The gladiator has the passive that gets him more health so the shield he'd give himself and the others would be significantly more than what the wild mage gave

Glad that a series came so quickly behind the let’s try. Love it! The end feels very Darkest Dungeon because the difficulty seems to climb to very punishing levels very quickly. Can’t wait to see some broken item combos!

You were really close to nice combo ;) The Enchanter armor (the one that prevents burn), does prevent bleeding if you upgrade it once. Therefor this and Vampiric is really nice combo to reduce up to 50% dmg if you upgrade Vampiric to the max lvl. Good run :)

Theory: Enchanters Chainmail gives immunity to bleed when upgraded once. Vampiric Guard converts damage taken to bleed damage. If you had upgraded your chainmail once I think you could have had an invincible character? Not sure

covnerts only part of damage into bleeding but yeah.. that is a valid strategy

Would be a super good strategy, not invincible but maaaaasssively mitigates damage

Yeah. It converts 30/40/50% of dmg to bleed, which gets ignored by Enchanters Chainmail lvl 2. At level 3 it also negates Doom which would otherwise screw you over late game (deals 80% max hp after 6 sec). Versus normal damage it's about as effective as 100 armor, but the added benefit of ignoring dots which would otherwise shred though armor stacking is really nice.

Berserker seems like it will be a pretty fun aggressive tank, with maybe items that buff him over time since he has so much self sustain.

Last night I beat the boss after half my party died simply do the fact that it couldn't kill my paladin that had max upgrade last bastion and I got to sit there for 5 minutes while zerker hit him enough to ramp up to hundreds and hundreds of attack power.

Hi Retro, if you get a crack at that Pharoah's mark again, might be fun to just save all your money and pile the curses on. Save every cent, then when fighting a single boss all the curses would be on that one unit. They would add up pretty quick...

I don't believe that is the case, but there seems to be a cap around 10% for mana and attack speed. I think one of the enemies just negated his buff. If you're a self buff heavy team some enemies will screw you over super hard by negating or even stealing your buffs.

Yeah man I just beat the game for the first time last night. I picked juggernaut ranger and Druid to start. Wild mage was my 4th member and in the front as an off tank mage he was a beeeeeaaassssst

Am i reading this character wrong? Retro keeps buffing the wildmages shields and shields per second but doesnt that effectively nerf the mages ability to do damage? more shield = more damage taken to proc the damage explosion. Maybe im missing something.

Once the initial shield runs out he will effectively proc his passive every single time he gets hit though

Only time I've beat the game was with paladin, frost mage, healer trio then adding in a off tank and lastly assassin. The wild mage though I heard is extremely good built as either tank/off tank/dps from a developers post on steam.
