Another classy T-style guitar When are you going to look at the .strandberg Salen NX? Which is a ergonomic, ultra-light weight T-style guitar, with ergonomics built in, a strange neck profile, and they also do a model with yellow / blonde and a black pick guard... The body shape is not classiv "tele" though, and it's headless. But I'd be really interested in seeing your take on .strandberg guitars

Harley Benton supposedly makes inexpensive but decent guitars. I've read and watched a lot of reviews. They're all over the place. Some people love 'em and others hate them. Squier are very affordable IMHO. I've watched a lot of reviews on the Squiers. The "higher end" Squiers are not bad. You could upgrade the pickups pretty cheap and still get a nice sounding guitar.

For a shop made instrument with laquererd finish, it's actually very well priced. You competition is the handful of Mexican Fenders that have nitro and they're priced similarly to this

Went to the PJD web site as you suggested and was blown away just by the looks of their guitars. Their "St. John" Jazzmaster style guitar looks to be a beast. Wow... visually I can't get over it! It's good to see as you said that they are reasonably priced considering its high-end components and ergonomic accoutrements insofar as weight, hand excess and body contours. Great video as always. Your influence on my guitar purchases is unlike any other guitar KZbinr that I've tuned into. Keep up the good work!

Did have a real wonderful tone to it ( you can hear the quality in it ) . The funny or odd thing is , in my eyes I can almost visualize a Gibson double cutaway. I forget the name of that Gibson style ( Special ??? ) .And the texture and color lends itself akin to a 61 Butterscotch Tele. But was a more pleasant shade imho. So very cool indeed.

As soon as i hear the term handmade i think of a luthier with chisels and saws, these are hand built/finished guitars not handmade. The CNC does a really good job at cutting everything proper like and the human element does a fantastic job of assembling and finishing. Credit where its due though the pricing is certainly keen now and the finish is always really nice (granted thats where a lot of the work goes). After having a barney with pjd the last time they were called out for not being handmade i still wouldnt buy one and rather use local luthiers here in the midlands who do actually make evetything by hand. Awesome vid sir

Darrell sometime you should check out a Riggio ‘Tango’ model. It’s a T style guitar that sounds & performs far & above most in its class. Joe Riggio is a master luthier from Tacoma, Washington who has been creating works of musical art for several years. I have a pink paisley ‘Tele’ that looks identical to the Fender model from ‘68-‘69. I wanted one of these in 1969 but couldn’t afford it so settled for a blonde Telecaster with a Bigsby. I loved that guitar for more than 50 years but finally decided to trade it in for the Tango. It is amazing & sounds every bit as good or better than my ‘69. Check it out!

Why don't more teles or tele alternatives come with the control plat switched. So it goes volume tone switch instead of switch volume tone. That way the volume knob is closer to you and easier for swells. I feel like Leo realised this so fixed it with the Strat but the teles for some reason remained the same. I flip mine. Makes much more sense to me.
