Sometimes it can be hard to think of new ways to incorporate rudiments into your drum fills/chops. The paradiddle-diddle is a great rudiment to use in different places to transform your chops! Remember, take it slow, have patience, and make this fill your own!

Hey Drum beats. Have you ever dealt with shoulder, and elbow pain from your left or right arm? Would love to hear more drummers talk about proper technique and how to avoid injury. I've been having some serious issues with my left shoulder, which is crazy, since I am right hand/arm dominant. Glad I can let my wrist do the work with my left hand but it still has been concerning. Thanks for the videos!

Gabe , I am a fellow drummer well y'all don't know me but we are in the drumming community, and I just wanted to say these lessons have taught me an awful lot of beats, rudaments and rock Patterns, my favourite is the high hat trick ,which I have implemented them into other rock Patterns / beats so I appreciate the lessons you make and you must keep up the good work :) but one problem is I can't hear the bass drum or snares I'm not sure if it's the microphones you use or if it's because they are ghost notes ,hope this helped and have a good day :)

Hey Gabe, Great lesson! Are you play rim shots on the snare? It doesn't look like it in this vid, however your sticks tell a different story shredded round the middle. 😄 I'm starting some home recording and find the snare sounds better no rim shot. I've spent the last 10 years playing this way, even when accenting patterns like the Paradiddle diddle. Do you think it is worth working on playing without?
@DrumBeatsOnline
@DrumBeatsOnline 7 жыл бұрын
In this video I don't do many rim shots. But it all depends on the songs or the sound you are going for. I think its important to be able to play the snare both ways!

Hard rock and maybe some metal. I'm trying not to get over my head but this rudiments stuff is really scary for me. lol (Subscribed!)

There is really no such thing as a “chop”. The word “chops” is derived from early jazz slang meaning ability, prowess, talent, competence on an instrument I.E a horn or a voice. Figuratively chops=mouth . Nice playing though. Thanks, Just a pet peeve of mine.
