Battle Heat is such a cool idea. I would have picked this up back in the day and given it a shot. Kind of like how Dragon Ball Fighterz refined this concept.

Im thinking of buying a pcfx, i really enjoy retro gaming and have always been fond of playing more obscure consoles. I know the pcfx can play burned cd's natively, but is there much of a homebrew scene, or a good amount of english translated games?

It has a few and is growing slowly. No home brew that I know of.

Zenki is based on an anime that I never saw over here but it is a lot of fun.

Every English-language video I can find mentions pretty much the same 5 games. Could it be that out of 60+ games only 5 were worth playing? (Battle Heat, Chip-chan Kick!, Choujin Heiki Zeroigar, Kishin Douji Zenki FX - Vajra Fight, and Ruruli Ra Rura)

most of the titles on this system require that you know Japanese. I mainly review games that I own.

Battle Heat is great but Tengai Makyo Karakuri is just better.. I have all the 60 or so games and a few extra (art book, demo games). The system has an interesting librairy of esclusives and looks cool. Zenki is alright..it could have been better but hey you can choose between two very different characters which add to the replay value. Zeroigar is a great, interesting shooter. Even if the game had been on the Super Cd rom format or the saturn, it would have have been a must have.

It is based on an now older anime but I am just thankful the language barrier does not hurt the gameplay.

Yea it is not cheap to get into this console. I wish I had a second controller but they are so overpriced.

I just got a pcfx and have been trying to burn games with no success can someone please help me.

Most likely the Disc you are using are too low quality. Try to find Taiyo Yuden/JVC disc and use the ImgBurn program at the lowest speed you can support. Also try to test with a burned audio CD and see if the optical pickup is dirty or weak.

I played the gg zenki it is pretty good too. System is cheap I believe
