New viewer here. 2 things about the rubberbands. 1 - I used to use them constantly back in 2017, ended up with breakage at the back, cut my hair to stop myself from putting it in ponytail. 2 - Started back using them some months ago but ended up with breakage because I would pull them out to reuse if the ponytail wasn't slick enough 🤦🏾‍♀️ so trying to repair that now without having to cut again. I was told you're supposed to cut them out. I saw a method where the girl was putting oil on them before using them and that was pretty interesting. Trying the air drying and braid out method weekly and I got my last relaxer on Sept 5, gonna push for 2 more weeks so that I can get it styled for an event.

I have seen people oil rubber bands too. I think I’m about to start doing that to the rubber bands I use on my kids hair. Stretch that relaxer girl 👏🏾❤️❤️
