Your best video yet. So heartfelt. Love the hat as well! You have an infectious way about you to take a hobby, some would say, as boring, and bring it to life for us and all others to enjoy. I actually have subscribed to 20 different vid topics, but it’s yours the one I keep my eye open for each week. I live as a new collector vicariously thru ur excitement of seeing you turn the crazy pages of a $31 Hatfield album! Thank you for all you provide to us closet collectors as we share our philatelic enjoyment with you. P. S. What’s the affection with Chicago?

I was already a stamp collector for 6 years when your favorite stamp was issued! One of my favorite US stamps is scott # 293 which is the $2 1898 Trans-Mississippi issue. It shows the Eads bridge accross the Mississippi River at St.Louis Mo. It was built about 1888. Before it was built, the only was to cross the river, was by boat or barge. This includes the entire river from New Orleans up to Minnesota! I have driven over several times. I have a nice mint example of this scarce stamp in my collection. I bought it about 50 years ago before it became so expensive.

Sooo - you’re stranded on a deserted island, you only want this one stamp…but the post office will still deliver them? 😂😂 Makes perfect sense! 🙏

I love the way you tell a story, I too was worried the guy was going to jump in front of you, so glad he didn't and it gave your story a touching end. And A favourite stamp, I have favourites but singling out one as The Favourite would be hard, there are so many.

This is the best video I’ve seen by you. I was very moved by your experience. You and I are both hooked on stamps and Dylan! I live in Fort Worth, but some of the best times of my life were exploring the Mississippi around Vicksburg and New. Orleans. Keep up the quest-people who don’t understand stamp collecting are deprived of a great pleasure. !

Thanks for watching! In the back of my mind is a quest down the Mississippi to New Orleans in search of stamps... :)

Is THAT really Minnesota in February? Where's the snow? Glad you found something to add to your collection in that stamp album you found.... here's an idea - make up some cards with your contact info to leave with "antique/Second-hand" shop owners to contact you when something philatelic comes in.....

It's something, eh? Pretty bad drought... and great idea about the cards, thanks!
