Stand alone fantasy always makes me think of Guy Gavriel Kay and his brilliant novel "Tigana." Dude is also the master of historical fantasy. "The Last Light of the Sun" is my favorite but "The Lions of Al-Rassan" is a close second.

Question: will we have another Warbreaker novel? I really wanna follow one of the more mysterious characters from there who I am so much a fan of :) Also we are not following the God King in Warbreaker, we are following one of the Gods, Lightsong.

I think Sanderson has one planned, as far as I know the placeholder-title is Nightblood but don’t take my word for it
@anabergespolo86313 жыл бұрын
Sanderson has said it's a duology, but also that it wont get written until he finishes Skyward #3 and #4, the next Mistborn book and Stormlight Archives #5, so at the bare minimum it wont get written for 3/4 years

I believe Elantris is also stand alone by Sanderson (I never know when he will revisit a setting though). I certainly agree with the video's perspective that Warbreaker is the better of the two, but Elantris also evokes an engrossing world faced with an urgent mystery behind some political intrigue.

Neverwhere is very good. I skipped the first chapter or so till the main character entered London Below. He didn't really man up down there, but at least stopped being a wimp.
