This was in the 1960's the most requested song by viewers of the Lawrence Welk show. I'm presuming by women, as the sweeping waltz melodies and the sensual descending chords make this one of the most desirable and fulfilling renditions of this song. It is pure romance, the couple shown on the album cover are engaging in the beginnings of a lifetime together in the most magnificent way, a life being committed to entwining with each other to become a pair that is greater than each could be on their own. Men desire this level of relationship too, but it may not be acceptable for them to explicitly state such desires, as it may not seem masculine. What a shame, as this is where couples who are fortunate enough to experience such a deep and long lasting connection derive the best of what humanity has to offer. There are such sensitive and emotionally available individuals out there, but they may take the better part of a lifetime to find the gem capable of this, while sorting through those who are incapable of such depth of experience in life.
