This part of the game killed me when I first played it. The whole time Elena is there helping you but you never truly know where her head is at. She keeps Nate at a distant, as he’s trying his best to get back on her good side. The way he looks at her as they are on the elevator, just talking. His sheepish awkward body language. NO VIDEO GAME RELATIONSHIP HITS AS HARD AS THIS! Really wish they’d remake the first 3 in these graphics!

This is what I love most about Uncharted 4. The way that Nathan and Elena talk about their relationship and lives in this last chunk of the game just wowed me with how real and authentic it felt. They both realize they each have personal baggage, but that they love each other above all else.

I've played this game so many times, and yet this one moment touches home for me. I've watched these two grow since the start of the franchise when they were just two crazy kids fighting in the middle of the pacific against Panamanian pirates and chasing after a mythic treasure. And to see them as husband and wife, trying to figure out a life outside of the whole risk your life treasure hunting thing, but then realizing that they really can't live without that, because it's just a part of them and they can't run away from that. And the way they realize that on this adventure is just epic. Even though Nathan admits the truth that he was afraid to tell Elena the truth because he was afraid of losing her, Elena still keeps him at a distance, because she's processing what he just said and trying to figure out how best to tell him her side of the truth and what she expects from him in a relationship. It's also the fact that Elena has grown to love this life just as much as Nathan has, and she's not a delicate flower anymore and she never was to begin with. She had just as much guts as he did, because she was an treasure hunting tv show host and as a journalist, she chased down a homicidal dictator looking to use the power of a mythical stone to become immortal and take over the world, before Nathan even had a chance to realize Lazaravic was the man he was after. So, I would say he had no reason to worry, because the woman he married can handle just about anything, and has been with him through thick and thin.

The motion capture in Uncharted games has yet to be beat IMO. I've been playing the new Horizon lately, and it keeps occurring to me that although the models are more photorealistic and detailed, the character movements don't hold a candle to Uncharted. The movements in Uncharted are very subtle, whilst with Horizon (and so many other games), it often feels like the devs think that a character needs to move their arms and head all the time when characters are talking for it to look natural. I mean, a bit of movement's fine, but it's a balance, and Uncharted nails it.

the thing with head and hands movement while talking is somewhat natural for mediteranean culture peoples. we use a lot of hand gesturing. for example, me, as a romanian, use a lot of hand movement to be able to express myself (we are part of the latin culture, even though you would confuse us for slavs). however, the turkish people, who ARE a mediteranean culture, do not use them. so for me its not weird to see this. for me its not the actual movements, but the fluidity. in many games where the head and hands move at the same time while talking, the actual movements look like they are dance movements of sorts, like a sort of ballet. clean, but not natural.

In Horizon for instance, character's movement is often a lot more expressive than their casual tone of voice.

Simon-peter Williamson its a dangerous life, and he can die at any moment and shed never know.
