I'm a guitar beginner here. My first exercise would be to grow my nails, just kidding :) I really enjoyed your video and I also saw your book on the web. Congrats. I'd like to buy it for my iPad so I can notate some Chords on top of the exercises with my iPad pencil. I wouldn't do that in a real book. Question: When I buy it, will I get it in a digital PDF format for my iPad, or will be as paperback? Thanks

@@johnjomp I just turned 71 and started lessons 2 years ago. My instructor decided to retire from teaching and concentrate on performance, so I am going to be looking for a new teacher. I just stumbled across these videos, but just started working on a classical piece that made me realize I really like classical.

This is brilliant. All the exercises are relevant short cuts to whatever style of music you prefer: classical, rock, metal, jazz etc. But as with all 'technique' exercises - never forget the ears. Let the ears in on every note or sequence of notes played, because it teaches the ears the subtle nuances important when performing or composing. Every note sends a single message, every sequence of notes sends a sentence, every nuance alters the meaning of the sentence. So never ever forget the ears when practising. Lots of love, Bea, for a brilliant video. Wish there'd been a guitar tutor like you when I wanted to learn to play the guitar.

I am not a classical player, but I will incorporate these exercises to my routine on steel string; I feel like it's going to boost accuracy and speed especially on my left hand (right handed) because I don't like using a plectrum when playing, I need to feel the strings :) Thank you so much for the free lesson maestro!

Thank you for making this video! Let me ask you: is there any age limit when trying to improve your guitar skills? I am 70 years old and have some previous practice, like at an intermediate level. My ambition is to get really efficient at 80 😊!
@beatrixguitar Жыл бұрын
Well you are an inspiration my friend! I admire that you are still ready to learn new things and ready to improve! When I get 70 I hope to be like that too! I had 60+ and 70+ students and the fine movements are getting harder to teach the body, not gonna lie. But I think it just takes a bit longer and a bit more determination, and patient focused practice :) I think I really don't have enough experience to say anything smart, maybe just to try to progress slowly, little by little, but that goes for everybody from age 5 to 100 too :D

Ì think you just need a few exercises, too. You need something that builds stamina, flexibility, and timing at the same time, and have the most important aspects covered. I think there's no way around to have more exercises duo to the high amount of different techniques, though, but in order to have your hands fit, there's really not much you have to do.

Beatrix, nagyon szépen köszönöm a leckét. Abszolút kezdőként szeretnék egy stabil technikát felépíteni. Gyakorlataid segítenek ebben. Volna egy kérdésem. A jobb csuklót egyenesen kell tartani amikor i m ujjakkal pengetek a mélyebb húrok felé? Ilyenkor kicsit a könyököm és a vállam is fölfelé mozdul. A tanárom szerint a könyökömnek és vállamnak mozdulatlannak kell lenni. Szerinte a jobb pengető kezemet kellene kicsit bal felé fordítani. Ezt viszont én nem tartom ergonomikusnak. Neked mi a véleményed erről? Szerintem nagyon jó az angolod, először nem is ismertem fel hogy nem az anyanyelved. Lehetséges magyar aláírással ellátni a videóidat? Hogyan mondod angolul húrbiztonság? Örülök, hogy rád találtam a 8 milliárd ember között , büszke vagyok rád. ❤
