Sitting towards the front of the stalls one time and seeing a tear roll down Rachel John's face during It's Quiet Uptown just got me.

"Ben Franklin with a key and a kite" refers to an experiment he is reported to have done. He wanted to test the effects of lightning, so he tied a key onto a kite string to see how the metal would react to a lightning strike. It sparked up whenever lightning struck the kite, showing that metal attracted lightning. He later invented the Lightning rod (lightning conductor) to prevent fires. That being said, the key and kite experiment might be more legend than fact, because other people attempting to replicate the experiment have been killed doing so.

I love your list! And I completely agree with the play-out! I wish I would have recorded it when I went to see Hamilton in January:/ One of my favourite bits was the beginning. When the first song started and Sifiso entered the stage - it was such a surreal moment. I also love the transition between Hurricane and the reynolds pamphlet... I don't know why it just makes me really happy. And also the lighting in general throughout the entire show:)

Thank you so much for sharing your favourite moments! I found a video of the playout from the pit focusing on the cello player, it's fascinating!! Think it's on the Hamilton channel, deffo check it out if you haven't seen it already. The transitions in this show are so fun and you're bang on right, the lighting is a dream!

I love Hamilton and seeing it for the first time was so overwhelming I can't wait to see it again and fully take in everything. One moment I adore in the show is how Maria is introduced and seeing that red dress for the first time was a inhales in awe moment haha.

Yeah I agree it's quite a lot to take in on the first trip especially if you aren't familiar with the story, I feel so lucky I've been able to see it multiple times to really take in the details. Ugh that transition in that track, and damn Christine Allado is SO good!!

I fully agree with the lantern part i’m Satisfied!!! It’s beautiful to watch. I also adore the pause in, “My Dearest, Angelica” in Take a Break because that’s one of my favourite songs and that part just sounds beautiful. I love in Who Lives Who Dies... when Eliza sings, “oh I can’t wait to see you again”, it just kills me and obviously when watching the show that’s how I’m supposed to be feeling. Hurricane is beautiful to watch aswell. I also love in Right Hand Man when all of the cast up on the catwalk are reacting too, especially watching Rachel John in that moment because i feel she performs that very well. And the moment in Satisfied when Angelica sing, “at least my dear Eliza’s his wife, at least I keep his eyes in my life” it’s incredibly sad but also my emotions are going crazy because Satisfied is my favourite Gamilton song so I’m just sat there loving life and so sad at the same time listening to this lyric. And finally as you said, the choreo in The Schuyler Sisters “and when I meet Thomas Jefferson, imma compel him to include women in the sequel” because it’s acc amazing and that line is so amazing and also so quotable!!! Great video, I love top tens and other similar list videos so this was great!!!

Having only seen the show once most of my favourites are on more of a macro level. In terms of the songs. The Schuyler Sisters describing living in Manhattan and you can really feel a sense of the energy and excitement that surrounded the revolution. Whilst not political I feel like Manchester is going through it’s own revolution of new skyscrapers and culture and people are super proud to live here. On a comic note King George comes alive on the stage in a way you cannot imagine on the OST and raises a huge laugh. As you mentioned Yorktown is a highlight and the Toni Award performance of that song convinced me I had to see this show. The Room Where it happens is so topical to todays politics as people with offices in The West Wing actually pace out how close they are to The Oval Office. I maybe able to see the show again in February so will be interested to have a new focus as the first time I just let everything flow over me in a wave of excitement.

I loved this video, the detail and passion is all there and it's so great to see theatre based content on youtube - which I really don't think there's enough off, and if there was maybe more non drama people would know more about what's going on in the theatre world
