I’ll be doing an updated “My Favourite Ways To Make Gil” video soon since I’m now post-Shadowbringers and I’ve found different ways to make Gil! I have 11mil Gil saved up for a large house from doing these things, so I’d like to share for anyone else who’s post-ShB too and needing some new ways to make Gil!

So, a very consistent no-MB method to make Gil.. If you rank up in your grand company, you can turn in most gear for grand company seals. Then, you can turn in those seals for an item called “Duck Bones”. You can sell duck bones to a vendor. 80,000 GC seals will get you around 48,000gil. Just by never passing up gear during roulettes, you can passively cap GC seals at least weekly, or be aggressive with it. You can hold stacks of 999 duck bones in your inventory, and turn that in for ~350,000 Gil. Some of the higher level gear will sell better directly, but I also use GC seals for my ventures, glam prisms, and the random mount/minion boxes.

In Ishgard, there is an area called the "firmament" that you unlock after the quest "Towards the Firmament." Inside, you can go to a special gathering duty and gather to collect materials, which you can use to level up your crafters. After you turn them in to be appraised, you get some skybuilders' scrips, which can be used to purchase emotes, dyes, etc. Some emotes go for hundreds of thousands of gil, like the /sweep emote. There is also another gambling mini game tied to it all if you decide to use the firmament to level up your crafters. After crafting an X amount of items and turning them in, you get moodle stamps that you can then gamble on the kupo of fortune, and win more prices that can be sold on the marketboard, or used for glam!

I do raw materials in bundles of 10 for grand company missions, and you may be shortchanging yourself on turning in your gear to exchange for sellable items. Some lower end gear is worth turning in but I noticed a lot of stuff in stormblood and beyond sells for enough gil that it's better to sell it directly to a vendor. Most accessories only sell for around 480ish gil so you can get more out of it if they're giving 1000+ seals, but weapons and a few armor pieces sell for 1000+ gil and the ratio leans over to selling it directly. I just go in, do a duty to level an alt, mend up, hit the button for best gear, and then sell all acquired loot and it makes a little stack with little time spent. The music roll vendor in Ul'dah could outfit and army thanks to me lol.

If you haven't checked it out yet you may want to try eureka (the field operation not the deep dungeon). It takes a while to level through but once you get max level you can farm lockboxes in a party or farm bunny fates solo if thats more of your style.

If youre feeling like a bit of a gambler when it comes to treausre maps I'd recommend doing the solo ones! Some individual materials sell for hundreds of thousands of gil and it can be worth the gamble at times. I dont know of a specific one for Stormblood but I know Shadowbringers has a map that has a material that sells for about 200k minimum

Since you mention mining as something you enjoy doing, I would also recommend mining elemental crystals. Check the board to see which sell for the most (on Jenova it tends to be Wind Crystals), then sell the crystals in batches. I recommend 500 to 1000 at a time. It adds up very quickly. Shards and clusters don't seem to go for as much or as consistently, but as the bulk of crafting recipes use crystals, they are in constant demand. Shortly after Dawntrail launched, I was selling my hoarded up crystals for between 100 and 200 each, banking a TON of gil!

The best GC items to buy for selling on the market board are Potash, Coke and the items that cost 5000 seals because those are used to make the HW relics. You can also use your tomes to buy left side gear and sell those to your GC for about 1200 seals a piece.
@Kandvia4 күн бұрын
For GC turn ins it is more efficient to turn in Facet Rings and ask your FC if they use the Seal Sweetener buff if so what day do turn ins with that. You need to get Squadrons unlocked and level up with the GC then you can get a buff from the squadrons that is similar to the Seal Sweetener buff use it if your FC doesn't use seal sweetener.

As you get higher in level a good one yo consider relates to Grand Company turn in. When you can solo the Alexander raids from Heavensward(if you can already) then run burden of the father or fist of the Father. You get tarnished gordian items from this. Trade them to rowenas representative near the aetheryte in ishgard for prototype gordian gear. Take that gear back to the GC for turn in. They are worth just over a 1k each. You can carry 2 at a time of each piece(one in your inv and one in chocobo saddlebag). So really it's 2k a piece. Just remember don't turn in the chest or legs sell them to a vendor right away. They are worth 900 gil each. Like I said it's as you level and then you just smash the Alexander stuff quickly. I'm lol 90 and can do it in a couple mins. It's just a bit of a boring grind

You'd probably make more gil if you do the gliderskin maps and save up 3 shell leather to do the urban or rebel coats. Both of these sell for between 800k to 1 m k on our server. Personally i think they drop often enough to be more profitable than selling a map. Obviously this won't work if you don't have decent levelled crafters. Check the prices. Another good way to make gil is flipping items from different servers. Use saddlebag exchange to get the prices on all your local servers, you often find a big difference in prices in items that sell relatively well. Long time playing and buying/selling.

It can be a bit tricky at lower levels, once you cap a lot will open up to you. ^^; Something I try to push people towards, even though I really shouldn't because its nice not having the market really saturated is just selling Crafting Materia. You can 100% automate it using Retainers and a crafting macro, anything that makes purple scrips can be turned in for materia. The set up I use, with 4 retainers pulls in about 150k a day for pretty minimal work. (Although I'll admit I just use mods for this, Auto crafting/Auto retainers makes it something I can just passively run while I make dinner, then come back and sell. But really its just removing the need for me to press a key every 30 seconds to cycle a macro, I had it set up on my phone to click the macro when needed while I made dinner downstairs, but that felt pretty goofy if there's tools to just click it for me.) Submarines are always something to look into, setting up an alt on the new empty Servers is a good choice. I started mine around August 7th, and its currently about 20 levels away from the farming set up that rakes in 400k a day through fully passive play. Merc runs can be extremely profitable if you're lucky and want to do some content, people are always paying for help clearing content, especially Ultimates or the current Savage/extremes for gear/mounts/glams. Gardening is a slow, but super low stress way to make money, its hard to measure it as a daily level of profit, I'm currently working through a back log of seeds, and have 4 garden plots with 32 thav onions, plus 4 pots inside my FC/Private home, each of those sells for 100k and takes 11 days to grow, but it took a long time to build up all those seeds. Unreals are unquestionably the best profit per time. 30 minutes a week to clear a boss twice, play a minigame, get tokens, spend tokens on mounts, mounts sell for 15million - 50 million gil. A big thing I really try to promote is just do the content you find fun though! You can make money a million ways in this game, but really money is only as required as you make it. A hunt train currently with 32 marks essentially is worth like, 200k between the materia tokens, and tomestones you get, but also you can just leverage them and stockpile your own pentameld resources, negating the cost when it rolls around, same with proactively leveling and gearing crafters to make your own gear rather then being at the mercy of the market board on patch day. Deep dungeons can also be really profitable, but its obviously super RNG. ^^ Eureka Orthos has items worth millions that can come from the hoards, just a gamble if you get them or not. And once you unlock it at 90, Island Sanctuary is still 100% worth doing, takes maybe 5 minutes a week, and can churn out a few 100k in profit through dyes and materia a week, or you can hoard the currency for patch day when people are goign to be penta melding their gatherers/crafters and leverage the demand there to make more. a bit of a scammy way you can make gil, the items required for the crafting quests are always sold at a premium as well, people will be too lazy to make simple items that take 500 gil and 20 seconds, so just making them yourself and putting them up at 15k or w/e, people will 100% buy them rather then make it themselves. Lots of ways to make gil. :)

I just stumbled on your video, and funny enough, I completed the main MSQs for Stormblood yesterday, so I figured I can give a few tips For crafters, putting the craft button on the hot bar is so helpful. Starting out crafters, it's best to make one of everything for some exp, then once a day just craft the Custom item, and turn it in. I have noticed in the early levels, each crafter is kind of separate, but later crafters need something from 1 or 2 others, so you can level them about even. Since you mine, that is extremely helpful, as the crystal supply empties faster than you expect. I also participate in some market board shenanigans, mostly with the Emperor gear (invisible gear).
