No different than school, a lesson is just that a lesson. Ultimately it is up to us to determine what we learn from the lesson. If your parents taught you “right from wrong” and you go out and commit a crime is your parents fault that you committed a crime!?! I don’t believe the courts would agree. Our choices are our own regardless of the lessons we learn or whatever the messenger intended to teach.

Whether that’s their parents teaching them or life experiences. finding balance is subjective. I.E. Your version of parenting will be different than mines, as mines will be different from yours or any other. There’s no proper way to parent, there’s just what people believe and what they don't. Yet in the end people will always have an opinion about whatever it is you do even if it doesn’t affect them. I guess that’s just life.
