It’s crazy you’ve put blood, sweat and tears into this career path you wanted and then once you’ve finally achieved it you want some sort of freedom. Wish you all the best and enjoy your freedom :)

The majority of doctors at my stage do the same, foundation training is very challenging and many want a short break before the next 7+ years of further difficult training :) thank you!

I love this! I’m a social worker (2 and half years in) and handed my notice in last month and pray that I can achieve all that is on my goal list! Is nice to see that other professionals are also doing the same to get their freedom.

Ive been working as a laboratory scientist for about a year now and Im having second thoughts about entering med school for the same reasons. The job I have already restricts me from doing other things and being a doctor would definitely not be any different. I know that would always think about leaving med because it would hinder me from doing other things I love although a part of me still wants to be a doctor. Thank you for sharing your experience all the best in your future plans.

The path of uncertainty is always one the hardest to take but you’ve got foundations set in stone Kenji not jelly and that’s really good ! (ie you’ve got the credibility of being a ‘doctor’) & with your pursuit of entrepreneurship I think your commitment really shines through and clearly your results and your self discipline. As Alex Hormozi so rightly suggests when you’re on your death bed you won’t regret having more crazy stories to tell ! and that’s what, ( from my perspective at least )this next chapter in life holds for you ! Good luck brother 🙏❤️

Started watching your videos around the time I myself didn't get the A-levels for med school. Also took the biomedical science path (graduated in July) and looking to reapply for med this year. Your videos on that topic at the time were so helpful and reassuring. Thank you Doc Kenji and all the best!💙

I completely understand your perspective. I am only a second-year medical student at the moment, currently on a haematology placement during my summer holiday, which is quite exciting. I've been contemplating the same issues you raised in your video. Striking a balance between my passion for medicine and living life to the fullest is challenging, and frankly, I envision myself following a similar path for the same reasons. I think it is a great plan you've got there and one I can really relate to. It's reassuring to see another doctor who gets where I'm coming from. Wishing you all the best!

💙.. started watching you in 2020. The first video I stumbled on was the one that you talked about writing really good research papers. The funny thing about the whole thing was that I was practicing the same techniques you were giving because I was half way in completing my MSc. I welcomed your content because it motivated me in completing that degree. I’m looking to start a PhD soon. The aim is to start before 35 but we’ll see. Whenever I do start, I’ll definitely use your video as a reference point. Thank you, and all the best!
