My condolences, It took almost 6 years to slooooly fail with Alshimer's the daily loss of mental ability was heart wrenching for each of us. The slow goodby was difficult to each of his 10 kids but near impossible for our mother. LIVING A LIFE STEALS FROM EACH OF US DIFFERENTLY! There is not any way to tell you how many times before and after the final curtian I have wanted to tell my father about something...19 years.

I used to eat a lot at the Salmon Bay Cafe. It is just a little south east of the heart of Ballard, which used to be where I lived at least 3 times growing up. It's now insanely populated there now. All of Seattle is insanely populated now. But no matter which direction you go... in an hour you will be in natural beauty.

My father passed away in April, on my brother's birthday. I felt a load of guilt for not seeing him as much as I should have... and realized a lot of the pain I felt growing up wasn't necessarily his fault. I miss him every day. I wish I could talk to him about my son... My condolences Jefe, you're a lot of fun t watch and I'm glad you are able to pursue your own direction and shared this deeply personal and, at times, hard story.

Wow, looked like a great homestead. My dad passed in 2017. We (my two brothers and I) sold his house. I wish I was in the position to buy my brothers out, but at the time, the finances didn't allow. Now that I'm getting close to retirement age, I wish I had just made the stretch because where he lived is where I'd like to retire and the houses there are selling for more than twice what we got for it.

Sorry to hear about your dad, but I bet it was great to get together with all your family members. It was interesting to see the drive around the Seattle area (seeing as how I live here/there), and I suspect that you enjoyed your fishing adventure out of Shilshole Marina... I'm very familiar with it. BTW, I enjoy watching your videos, as well as the ones put out by Matt's Off-Road Recovery and FabRats. Doug Jackson (in Seattle) 🙂
