I'm a lifelong Atlanta Braves fan living in Oakland. It really sucks to see this happening. I went to a lot of games at that Coliseum, and the vibe there is unlike any other ballpark. I loved it. The fact that it's being taken away makes me sick to my stomach. Fisher, MLB, the Oakland govt...they all failed us. I'm so sorry for the people of Oakland and fans of the A's.

Giants fan here, I'm 57. I die hard with giants, but I'm not one who hates the As. I've always been a fan, just not with same emotional attachments. I have a life long friend who is a die hard As fan. We have so many memories of going to see both teams throughout the decades...not quite old enough to remember the 70s championships well, but old enough to remember going to games in the mid n late 70s, through though times, when team wasn't good, and there would only be a few thousand at the game ..back the the chant was Let's Go A's! Then came Billy Martin, with Billy Ball in 81. Excitement was back! ...watching Rickey steal bases, and do his thing! And also, the begining of playing Celebrate. 🙂 The late 80s...what an effing team! Top to bottom, inside out. They were fun! But, as an orange n black bleeder, a bit envious. It's a shame they didn't win more ws titles. They were the best of that era. And, that the lone title is shared with the devastating earthquake, taking a lot of As fans joy away. But so cool to have a real battle of the Bay. ..even though it wasn't competitive. 🙂.. the teams in the 90s and into 2000s that were so good, but couldn't get over the hump. I have a ton of memories at The Oakland Alameda County Colosseum that will always be with me... especially as a kid. Giveaway days Sooo much better. Always looked forward to, bat days, at candlestick and the colesium. Those green bats were very cool! Also, hat days were so much better. 🙂. My last game was a Yankee game, last season. The As beat them the nigh prior to being no hit. I'm live in Sacramento area now, don't drive, so difficult to get to games. If the As do play here next year, I don't know if I'll go...I don't want to support Fisher in any way. I still hold out hope that someone will step up and save the team, convincing Fisher to sell. It happened for the Giants, twice. 1976, Bob Laurie. 1993 Peter McGowan. Of course Laurie was selling team...locals stepped up at midnight it's different with Fisher. Hopeful Vegas falls apart and he has change of heart and sells to a dynamic group that keeps the As in Oakland, and gets stadium built with private funds. I feel terrible for Oakland. They have lost a Hockey team in 75. Not many cared about the Seals, but I did. Raiders, twice. Warriors, but at least in SF. And now the A's. Please, for the fans you dare to say you care about, sell the team! A's fans really deserve a top notch owner, who will invest in community,, facilities, and foremost, the team. The giants fans are very lucky. They do all of that better than any. Especially community involvement, and celebrating the teams past. No organization does it better. A's fans deserve that. What a history the team has to celebrate.

It’s a good vibe. Great baseball fans there. Fisher gave a huge F you to Oakland just for money. Would be a travesty to happen to any franchise. I feel like Cincy isn’t totally safe either. We’re all subject to whatever crappy decisions FO wants to make. I hope you guys get a team back one day in a stadium someone cares enough about to build up and make great. The stadium is almost identical to the Buffalo bills stadium and leaving the game I felt as if I was leaving the bill stadium after a win. One last time man it was a walk-off win against Seattle and during the late unions and as I walked to the train after the game The fans reminded me of Buffalo fans. The fans were great passionate and truly loved the team I cannot understand how this team is moving it literally baffles my mind

Whenever people ask me why the Oakland A’s my response is always “Born, not raised.” I will say my biggest regret in life was not seeing the Oakland A’s in the Coliseum. This year I was able to take my son to the Father’s Day game against the Twins here in Minnesota, my last time ever seeing the Oakland A’s in person. I found your content today, thank goodness for the YT algorithm, wiped tears away for 28 magical minutes, and just finished game 1 (your first trip to T Mobile field). Keep up the great work.

I love the A’s now… And obviously, Oakland. I’m hurting just as much 💔 Let me add, seeing homeboy of The Last Divebar crying in his pickup broke me. I met him at my last Coliseum visit in late May. Cardinals fan. Born and raised in St. Louis. Got invested into baseball when David Freese lifted one to center field and won Game 6. I've never been to California, the closest I've been there is when I stopped in Seattle to catch a Mariners game, but I've gone to a lot of ballparks, and I realized something. From Cleveland, to Chicago, to New York, to Denver, baseball is the heartbeat of a city. Baseball can bring hope, memories, and new bonds to anyone who follows it, but removing a city of it's baseball team is equivalent to removing it of its pride and joy. I couldn't imagine what would happen if the Cardinals left St. Louis. I can't begin to imagine how you feel now. This is a sad day for baseball and its fans. The A's don't belong anywhere but in Oakland, California. And I can only hope that John Fisher realizes he'll be losing a lot more than he will gain. Long live the Oakland Athletics.

East Bay native. Grew up going to the coliseum but live in AZ now. I used to sit in the LF bleachers during the Eric Chavez era, still recognize a lot of the fans. I continued bleeding the green and gold until now. I took 12 A’s fans to one of the games in AZ this year and had green and gold hats printed that replaced the white A with text reading “Make Baseball Fun Again”. That has been my normal A’s hat this year. But like you, I donned my fan gear one last time as I watched the game from my friends house(also an A’s fan). I felt numb most of the game. But once Kotsay asked the crowd to chant one more time I lost it. Thanks Gabe for your content, it’s helped me get through the last 2 years. Oakland A’s forever, and fuck John Fisher and MLB.

First let me say what a beautiful post you made. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings. Sadly this is the way Many Brooklyn Dodgers fans felt when Walter O'Malley moved the team from Brooklyn to L.A after the 1957 season. I'm from NY and I'm a Mets fan who wasn't born until three years after the Dodgers left so I had absolutely no connection to them whatsoever. But I have spoken to many fans who were alive back then and they too spoke about the sadness and despair of losing their team and how it felt like a funeral in their homes. I imagine that this is how many A's fans are feeling right now.

I’ve said this before but as a Twins fan I feel so bad for Oakland fans it feels like it was an eye for an eye situation Minnesota was on the brink of losing our team in 2002 had a Cinderella run in October including facing the A’s who looked unstoppable back then and our franchise was saved and we ended up getting Target Field. For Oakland they never truly recovered with John Fisher after that and now 22 years later they’re doing the one thing we Minnesotans almost went through, the team breaking our hearts.

Thank you! I was interviewed by a sportscaster from KTNV, channel 13 on Thursday. Off-camera, he said what you said: Las Vegans want THEIR team, a home grown, expansion team like the Golden Knights, not another stripped team from Oakland from an owner who refuses to do the right thing: Sell the team to a local buyer who will compete the deal at Howard Terminal. Like Mark Davis of the Raiders, "Oakland was my father's dream, but it's not my dream." Fisher (and his lap-dog, Kaval) and MLB are in collusion: they both are greedy and want the glitz of Vegas with no thought (unless superficial) of the fans. May Fisher flop in Sacto and Vegas until the A's come home with a NEW and CARING owner.

It was a good feeling seeing an honest and transparent person like yourself care so much about a team who was always pushed aside and left for dead. No matter how grim things looked, our team that was designed to fail by ownership would somehow, someway, crawl their way up to the top. True underdog story. That’s why I was always a passionate fan. I made it a routine in my life to tune into your videos and will support the channel no matter what happens. So many memories flooded my mind as I woke up for that last game in Oakland. I Hit the road before the sun was up. I knew the tears were going to come sooner or later. “In my life” by the Beatles started playing on the radio and my gf and I lost it. Stay up champ, we’re all in this fight together. It’s not over till it’s over. And if it does go down, we will stay on the sinking ship like true gentleman. Love yall A’s fans. We deserved so much better

Man your comment hit me so much with appreciation. I just wanted to share the truth of what happened here in Oakland. I wanted to defend the fans including myself who would get told "it's your fault you didn't show up". That was never the case. I wanted to fix the narrative and thanks to my friends and many A's & baseball fans across the world we did that. The fight is not over and as long as John Fisher owns the team there's one thing he has never done, and that is never successfully building a stadium. Thank you for your support all season long, it was a hard one. We did indeed deserved better.

Thank you Gabe!! You’ve done so much for all baseball fans with your incredible videos, I’d love to see them become a documentary some day! The raw emotion you show in the videos really shows how horrible this situation is for all fans. Although I am a Rays fan, I’ve been thinking more about Oakland for much of this season. A’s fans are truly among the best in all of sports. I went to the Coliseum for the Rays series last year, including the Reverse Boycott. I had absolutely 0 negative interactions from any A’s fans and despite wearing different uniforms, we were all able to unite and take a stand against this horrible move and quite a few even thanked me for the support. I’ve been to many different ballparks and have yet to come across another fanbase so passionate yet so respectful to visiting fans. What is transpiring is truly awful for all baseball fans and I’m completely heartbroken for you and all the A’s fans out there. This is none of your faults and I’ll never forgive Manfred, Fisher, Kaval, and the other owners for allowing this to happen. Stay strong and I hope you continue your passion of sports videos, whether it be Roots, Soul, Ballers, Giants, or other random MLB games. I’ll I’ll miss my virtual Coliseum visits from the East Coast through your videos but I’ll be wearing my SELL shirt proudly to Fenway Park Sunday for the Rays game! FJF!

You get a sub from a fellow A's fan from the 70's! I spent my childhood in the bleachers before Mt. Davis. When it was cheaper to go to an A's game than going to a movie theater if you can believe that! $3 was the price of admission in the 80's! I no longer live in the Bay and haven't been to a game in years, but my son was there. Thank you for documenting your experience for those who could not attend. ⚾⚾⚾💛💚💛💚

From a padres fan this sucks and sad even heartbroken becuase it brings me memories when the chargers left Sandiego to LA and it hurts till this day aslo I really enjoyed playing against the Oakland A’s and especially the raiders everytime we where in the black hole as the visiting team the fan base was rough and even scary in my opinion and thats what I called real fans every time we got our butt kicks by the raiders that’s one of the memories I’m going to missed a lot may god bless the fan base of Oakland thank you for the memories and may god bless you Gabe

From Sydney Australia, My heart goes out to All the A's fans, players & employees, John Fisher & the MLB have a lot to answer for, How an owner can bring the game into disrepute by doing this to a team and its fans is unforgiveable.

Appreciate you making a video about this. The “🖕John fisher” at the end captures what I’ve been feeling over the past 20 years. Seeing great players be developed only to see them leave by trade or free agency. And then seeing cycle after cycle of this for so long. The last day of the Oakland A’s was a culmination of all that disappointment balled up into one. I couldn’t even bring myself to watch the whole video because it was so sad for me. So again…..thank you for doing what I couldn’t do. 💚💛💔

I had the same feelings as a Rays fan over the past few years, maybe 5-10 years at this point. The news we got this summer, I still don't know if it will happen, but just know this, all of us Rays fans, we know the struggles, we know the pain, and we're here for all of you guys. It's a disgusting thing that happened all thanks to the son of two people who own a D-level clothing brand. Stay strong through this and let's hope that somehow, some way, that MLB will return to Oakland soon

I can honestly say that I am deeply saddened by your loss. I can't imagine how you guys feel and feel just as upset at how that scoundrel John Fisher let you guys down.

I hear ya my man. I went to my first A's game July 8, 1978. I had season tickets for 15 years been there all those years both good and bad. What ownership has done to this organization and what they have done to the fans is just disgusting. Fisher can go screw himself for what he has done to all of us, and for what he's done to Oakland. Enjoy the last 3 OAKLAND A's game!

Just found your videos man. Great video. Let me tell you, I’m a 43 year Oakland A’s fan. My entire family are Giants fans and for some reason, when me and my cousin were 8 my grandpa took us to an Oakland A’s game. My first baseball game ever. Been hooked ever since. I was born in Sacramento but we made tons of trips to Oakland. Saw so many huge games at the coliseum. Originally I was juiced that the A’s were coming here, until my girl bought tickets to the A’s /Rangers on Tuesday night. That was the first game I’ve been to in at least 5 years because I had sworn that I would never give this POS owner another cent of my hard earned money. Pulling up to a full parking lot of partying A’s fans felt so different. Going into the stadium and feeling the melancholy atmosphere was just intense. Seeing fans stick around after the game winning hit just so they could take in the sights and sounds of the coliseum one more time, that hit me hard. As we were Walking out we saw an old couple both dressed in their A’s gear hugging and crying. It broke my heart. The A’s don’t belong in Sacramento. I will not be attending any games there. It isn’t right what’s happening and I won’t be a part of it. F u JF. F you for what you’ve done to this franchise.

Through watching the different broadcasts and fan made videos, it made me sad. But your video here hit a lot harder because of the passion shown from you and the other fans. I never got to go to the Coliseum, but from the outside, thank you for changing baseball.

Its takes so many people within an organization to make it happen. It takes countless fans to support it, year after year after year. But it only takes one man, ONE MAN to rip it all away. It's ironic, it's maddening, it's that stomach punch of sadness. RIP Oakland A's, RIP Oakland Alameda County Coliseum. You both shall be missed.
