Dear Cody, Watching this video honestly gives me warm hope. I am almost 22 years old, and I only started swimming and training on a proffessional level when I turned 15, and I had my first actual race when I was 16. Although people don't put a lot of faith in me, and urge me to quit... even my teammates, I found myself taking half a year break from swimming to find myself. Choosing that this sport is for me, I eagerly took the time off to prepare myself in order to face the difficulties of being a student at a university with no swimmimg team, having a job and putting in the work at the gym and of course the pool. Months of preparing only to be rejected by the new team's swim coach, claiming I have no place im the sport of swimming. Unwilling to give up I found a different pool, where I train by myself, since there are no other teams in my area. Even though at times it feels pointless, I am solwly getting back to my former self, and in some cases even exceeding him. While I wait for my class to start after my swim I opened youtube to watch something while I eat. And there could not be better timing for the algorithym to show me your video at the top of my page. I am truly grateful, and inspired to show everyone and especially myself that I'm capable of more than anyone believes of me. Thank you Cody 🫶🏾

See kiddos? You can do your best time, even after having been out for 5 days sick as a dog. In the 50s. And THAT'S why 50s should NOT be Olympic events. And remember....do NOT try this with ACTUAL swimming (i.e. distance).
