Adam deserves all the recognition he's getting now. He had an outstanding career on the Indies, Ring of Honor, NWA. As a matter of fact he was NWA World Heavyweight Champion five times. In my humble opinion the most cherished belt in the history of the sport. Adam had it all, Dynamite ring psychology, great storytelling skills and was a master on the mic. He can draw heat from a crowd like few others. I'm glad he's doing what he's doing and he's making money to support his family. God bless Adam Pearce. Thank you for all the great matches.

I started watching wrestling around 2010. I didn't watch indie wrestling but I had heard Adam Pearce's name here and there. Never actually saw him though until he debuted at TNA's Gut Check during the Dixie Carter era. It was essentially a tryout match against another competitor. The moment I heard Pearce on the mic, I knew he was gold. Reminded me of a combination of Stone Cold and JBL. Well, to my surprise, Pearce lost his tryout match and neither he nor his competitor were signed by TNA. (Hilariously, both ended up signing with WWE a few years later.) I was amazed that TNA passed on this guy. I mean, a Gut Check contract would've been chump change, yet they still were unable to see the obvious talent. Fast forward 5+ years and Pearce gets signed as a trainer with NXT, and eventually lands a featured role as an authority figure on Smackdown. I'm not surprised that WWE threw him in front of the camera because he's polished and reliable. He's honed his skills on the indie scene and it shows whenever he's on the mic. He's an example of hard work paying off. Just play the long game, keep believing in yourself, and eventually someone will recognize your talent. Truly excited that this guy finally is being recognized. I'd expect his role to only increase as HHH begins to take over the company. Say what you want about Trips as a wrestler, but he's a great evaluator of talent and knows how to surround himself with passionate minds who understand the business from all angles. HHH won't surround himself with "yes men" who swallow their tongues in the presence of "the boss" while enabling erratic booking.
