Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have been out for a few days now and, as is tradition, I give you all the final team I actually ended up using, which was totally different from what I originally planned to use!

Tinkaton and it's evolution line of Fairy/Steel is an amazing pokemon for a team. If Azumarill is used over Tinkaton in the best team videos, I'll be shook.

It’s typing is insane but it’s stats are sooo underwhelming. It’s wearing and can only take hits on the special side decently. Doesn’t seem like it can reliably take hits well

@@Andres-pk5bb That is true but at least between the two, Tinkaton is better than Azumarill by a long shot with Tinka having 509 base stat total and Azu having 420. Azumarill is used in Mystics best teams a lot, if not Gardevoir as well. It's gonna come down between those 3 I guarantee.

Mankey is available super early but don't expect to have Annilhilape until after lvl 35 because it's Evo is caused by the use of a move it learns

For the most part, my final team has pretty much stayed the same, with Jolteon, Honchkrow, Quaquaval, Ceruledge, Cyclizar, and Cetitan, though for the most part, I used Clodsire until I was able to get Cetitan, and it was a pretty solid member of my team for the longest time. So yeah, I was pretty happy with the team I used for Paldea for the first time.

Garganacl is one I wasn't expecting to keep in my team. But with the ability Purinfying Salt just makes it awesome. Also the Salt Cured attack it learns really works on Steel and Water types.

I had a Garganacl until I found a Frigibax, whom I immediately evolved into Baxcalibur and replaced Garganacl with. Though I gotta say; if I didn't find Frigibax I would've kept Garganacl. That thing is bulky!!

My team was really fun to use, I used Meowscarada, Ceruledge, (full odds shiny) Hariyama, Glimmora, Tinkaton, and Farigiraf. Had a great time and really fell in love with these Pokémon and looking forward to doing another playthrough soon!

@@justiceforjuicy6765 it’s alright, it’s ability is pretty good and the typing is good but it feels a little underwhelming defensively for a rock type, but it has clutched me some fights so I’d still recommend it but really only if you don’t use Clodsire because it’s probably better than Glimmora overall

@@justiceforjuicy6765 btw, put a Rocky Helmet on and you’ll become a physical user’s worst nightmare, every time you get hit you set up a layer of toxic spikes and deal damage back, I’ve beaten some of the big story fights by purposely leaving an opponent barely alive to hit me, set up toxic spikes for me, and finish them off with the helmet, it’s worked so many times, even a few times in online

My final team that I beat the game with was Meowscarada, Amphoros, Armarouge, Toxapex, Hydreigon, and Vivillon. Got super lucky and found shinies of Mareep, Mareanie, Deino, and Scatterbug on my playthrough. Couldn't NOT use them, right? Then I found shiny Gible shortly after I beat the elite four. I love that they show shiny on the overworld! You're basically doing the encounters a bunch at a time as you walk along and play. Come to think of it, I belive three of the five shinies I caught withing seconds of putting away the picnic table.

When they said explore as much as you can they weren't kidding. I explored the first open area in the game, and found a pink lechonk just chillin next to a wall. I made it my first catch and never looked back.

This video was very great, because it has finally given me a chance to talk about my pokemon team for violet. While I have only gotten halfway through the game so far, the team I'm using right now is one that I absolutely adore DISCLAIMER: Keep in mind, this is my opinion, so you guys have equally as great points of view as I do, I just wanted to share this favorite team of mine. My first play through team was: Skeledirge, Pawmot, Tinkaton, Scovillain, Lokix, and Baxcalibur. I throughly enjoyed the game, and love all 6 of the mons I used. There’s so many well designed Pokémon in this generation imo. There’s enough new Pokémon that I love for me to buy the other copy, and use an entire team of Gen 9 Pokémon that I like again. I definitely will be doing so too.

The games are still shit, compare them to BOTW, Pokemon earns a thousand times more money and cant even do a proper game. I loved pokemon, but only been dissapointed after Gen 6. Dynamax was stupid, Z moves were even worse, Tera es a great mechanic, but look stupid and unnatural. At least Mega felt natural and breathed life into forgotten pokemon, I wanted most pokemon to get their mega but pokemon took it another direction.

I’m about to face the Ghost Gym, and my team is Meowscarada, Clodsire, Armarouge, Gimmighoul (still need to get the coins to evolve…), Dachsbun, and Palafin. So far, the only issue I had was at the Normal Gym, so I’d say this is a rather solid team.

There's a little cove cliff north eastern near out of bounds zone. Unfortunately you have to unlock climb. There is a lvl 75 dragonite that is glowing with Tera energy. Also other dragonite spawns.

Flower Trick is straight-up broken. 70 base attack with a guaranteed critical hit? Yeah, that's insane. Most of my Scarlet playthrough was a solo run with Meowscarada. It was only when I couldn't reasonably use Meowscarada that things got iffy for me.

Agreed on Ceruledge, Armarouge has a much easier time with having several special based fire moves before its signature move, unlike Ceruledge.

I found myself defaulting to what I know works. Lucario pretty early on, alongside Tyranitar and Garchomp. Gallade was solid, and Skeledirge was tank. What surprised me was how I stuck with Sawsbuck the whole way.

I was pleasantly surprised by this game, I went in thinking it was going to be sorta messy and half assed with all of the seperate stories but it all worked amazingly well. I loved Legends Arceus but I don't think these 2 games are really comparable, because of how vastly different they are. The only things I can compare is the open world concept, over world shinies, and the fact you can throw your pokemon out whenever. Aside from that SV is a traditional main series game with a great exciting world with fun characters and the ability to do basically anything in any order you please. I'm very happy with the game and the team I have rn. Not sure if I'll end up using HoundStone for the end game tho but it's been clutch at times

Same way you teambuild for any Mon: cover its weaknesses, give it a reliable pivot and recognize its role on your team. Most people in a playthrough run Dragapult as a fast physical attacker, although it also has access to support moves like screens. Dragon/Ghost is cool typing, but you’ll need to deal with opposing Fairy and Dark types, and maybe Steel types offensively, and you probably don’t want your entire team to be as fast and frail as the Pult. Some bulk would be nice to have. So going off of that, you could run anything from Tinkaton to Florges to Clodsire to help you deal with certain threats where your favorite boy will struggle. If you do that a couple more times for the other mon you picked (what’s their role? What’s their weakness?) you’ll wind up with a rounded team. Honestly I also am having a lot of fun running into some strange Tera types and trying to figure out how to put them on the team! It’s been a new experience!

I had this team in my first playthrough. Loved it. Skeleridge ("King K. Rool") Pawmot ("Thor") Espathra ("GlooGloo", I was dumb and thought it was a turkey) Kingambit ("Excalibur", before I knew the existence of Baxcalibur...) Toedscruel ("Metroid") Baxcalibur ("Arcteryx") No kidding, I was leading Espathra against the champion, and I had a good laugh because of it On my 2nd run, I want to use Meowscarada ("Garfield"), Ceruledge ("John Wick"), Farigiraf (tbd), Kilowattrel ("Voltaire"), Cloyster ("Metapod") and Tinkaton (tbd).

my team has been meowscarada, tinkaton, ceruledge, glaceon, oricorio, and espathra Glaceon has been the suprising and by far the MVP. its even the lowest leveled pokemon on my team but a pokemon used iron head on it and it didnt even get to 3/4ths health. it also has the highest stats for defense, special attack, and special defense for my team. and before i got to the city with the ghost leader (theres a shop that sells nature mints) it had a really bad nature that was +attack -defense but it was still demolishing. so yeah ive become a glaceon stan

My current final team involves Lucario, Armarogue, Rufflet (Working towards Braviary), Arctibax (Working to Baxcalibur), Magnezone, and of course I have Finizen (working towards the almighty Palafin)

The Pokémon is currently using as a team is meowscarada, corviknight, gallade, Gengar, coalossal, and garchomp. I find that these Pokémon can be useful at times, and they can probably be switched out for better Pokémon but at this moment they’re working out for me

My team was: Quaquaval Ceruledge Tinkaton Kilowattrel Toedscruel Farigiraf. I planned this team and I’m super happy about it. It was awesome, I enjoyed using them and Ceruledge didn’t only win most dopeass pokemon design of gen 9 but also MVP of E4 + Champion battle. This team also has really good coverage and there’s no type that’s too strong against it. What really disappointed me in this gen was that they didn’t make any good Bug type mons. Bug is my favourite type and I almost always use some bug type in my team but not now. 🥺 I was thinking a out using Rabsca but it would make my team much weaker than when there’s Farigiraf. + I wanted to use Farigiraf for quite some time.

I am enjoying the game, but I wish that you just needed so many badges in general to get certain level pokemon to listen to you instead of needing actual gym badges. For example, I wanted to do the path with the herba mystica first and the Starfall but I found myself having to do some gym battles first just to make sure my pokemon were listening to me.

I was directed here when searching for "best new Pokemon" and figured I would see how I'm doing. I am not very far in (2 gyms 2 titans 1 stars) but I have or am on track for 4/6 of the Pokemon you listed. I was considering Palafin so I may have to try it out. Farigiraf wasn't catching my eye, but I do feel my team is lacking in the special attack department; something for me to look at. I always only use new Pokemon for a new game, so it limits what I could use a bit. Instead of the last two on your list, I have Klawf and Tinkaton. Klawf has been pretty alright, and I just got Tinkaton so can't say much there.

I played both games (was gifted the pack containing both) and currently doing Scarlet, and in there I was picking ones I thought were interesting or cool as I went, out of the game’s new pokemon I’ve got the grass starter, clodsire, tinkaton, and Rabsca (search it up, it looks cool) and I quite like them, with talonflame and gardevoir mixed in as well (yeah ik i already got both a psychic type and fairy type other than her, but she’s doing some different things than them) I considered keeping dudunsparce and spidops on my teams as I played but I switched them out

My Team consists of: Meowscarada Garganacl Clodsire Ceruledge Paldean Tauros (Fighting) Tinkaton You are 100% right when you say flower Trick is broken. It turns from a seemingly 70 dmg move to a move that does 210 dmg with terrastalizing and even more if its super effective and by this point you haven't even touched Attack boosting moves so doing all this with some Hone Claws turns Meowscarada into a beast.

5:53 I was going to use Ceruledge on my team regardless of picking Fuecoco on my team (keep in mind I didn’t see any of the starter evolutions or anything that wasn’t in the trailers, went in completely blind) but then my starter evolved into Skeledirge and saw that it was Fire/Ghost which completely overlapped with Ceruledge so I had to box Ceruledge unfortunately, but then I replaced it with Pawniard and got it to evolve into Kingambit and I loved it! But I will use Ceruledge on my Scarlet team! I’ll just trade over the item to evolve it

Kilowattrel is super sick, I wish it popped up a little earlier in the game in place of Fletchling. It clutched up so much of my run just with Electro Ball and Volt Switch, Hurricane and Tailwind buffing its Electric-type damage was just a bonus.

For me I’ve only done 2 star fall missions, 2 titans, and 3 gyms but the team I have I think I’m gonna keep, Crocalor, Clodsire, Mankey, tadbulb who I’m about to evolve, naclstack, and what ever the tiny pink thing was called I forgot.

The team I ended up using was Skeledirge, Clodsire, Kilowattrel, Scovillain, Palafin, and Ceruledge. Now I know what you're probably thinking, half your team is fire types and two of your pokemon have the exact same typing. Yes, this is true, but they all have different coverage moves and purposes on my team and I've even used them competitively, so I know it works. What really helps when I face a pokemon I need to OHKO and don't have a STAB is obviously tera typing. My Skeledirge is ghost tera type (gives it less weaknesses and boost to STAB), my Clodsire is tera ground type (one less weakness and boost on STAB), Kilowattrel's tera type is pure electric (Increased STAB and gives it one weakness very easily avoided by air-balloon), Scovillain is a dark tera type (Good coverage if I need to OHKO something weak to dark), Palafin is a tera ice type (I mainly used this during the elite four for the dragon specialist to make ice punch STAB), and finally Ceruledge whose tera was bug type (Great for the psychic gym and it made X-scissor STAB plus got rid of some weaknesses).

my team was really unexpected for me to have, i currently have beaten half the elite four (i got off after saving) with almost no problem with these pokémon: Quaquaval clodsire gyarados noivern salamence the great tusk

My team i used for my first playthrough is : -nacli(amazing with the sturdy ability) -charcadet (a little squishy glass cannon but pretty strong) -quaxl( i mean its final evo stats.. Do i need to elaborate? Also water fighting is Just a cool combo imo) -tinkatuff( awesome typing.. Meh stats but i Just love the design and her huuuge hammer, comical) -smoliv (this is an amazing tank and dmg dealer, amazing for me since i didnt go for grass starter, highly reccomended, solos gyms etc) -arctibax, the pseudo dragon ice type, havent used him alot yet but his final evo seems pretty decent I have currently done 3 fights with arven and 4 gym challenges and 2 star hideouts, im having a blast!!
