My first 1 week in the European server of Ragnarok Online | Exploring ALL servers of Ragnarok Ep.2

I spent one week in the official European server of Ragnarok, called Ragnarok Online Prime. Though I spent a week, I only played a few amount of hours in total, but I think I got some taste of the server. If you have seen some of my other videos, chances are you listened to me saying that "I would never play or recommend the European server", because of what Gravity did in the past. However, after experiencing the European server, I take back what I said. The server ain't bad! It is quite cozy, actually.

I got an ad for RO Prime, thinking it was like a new, revamped version of the game I played over 15 years ago. Having you explain the background of Prime at the beginning was really helpful. I'm very tempted to give this official EU server a try for old times' sake

Obrigado! Olha, eu jogo principalmente no bRO. Se vc estiver no Brasil, talvez vc precise de VPN pra acessar o servidor europeu. Eu uso VPN pra jogar no bRO (NordVPN e Surfshark). Eu acho o servidor europeu bacana, bem cuidado, um servidor pequeno mas com uma quantidade de jogadores suficiente pra ter um comércio. Lá, a maioria das guildas são dividas por idioma. Mas a real é que apenas o bRO mata a nostalgia de verdade que eu sinto! Vivo há muitos anos na Inglaterra e sinto que jogar no bRO me conecta com o Brasil!

Would you say it's worth starting the game again as an old Burda/FRo player? Are there still enough players and activity? I saw there is still the Iro server that you play on and the 4Game server. Which one would you recommend to me? I used to love this game.

Well, iRO has many more players than the european server. That alone makes iRO better. However, depending on the style of gameplay, you might have an excellent time at the european server. It's been a while since I last logged on the European server, but iRO got many updates and the playerbase even grew a little bit last year! However, you will need a VPN to play there, and if you are intending on a different play style, you might actually enjoy the european more. Having less players, the market is a bit cold, compared to iRO. But, if you want to farm your gear by yourself or with friends, the european server can be a good choice! Since it is free to play on both, I highly recommend you try by yourself!

Citizen, I got a question, I downloaded the game but it never opens on full screen properly. How did you fix the screen issue?

You need to open the setup, which you don't access from within the game. You need to open the folder where the game is installed, and open the Setup application. It will open a window with a choice to mark as full screen. Let me know if it doesn't work!

I will definitely do it! The idea is to play on literally all server of Ragnarok! Even the Japanese and the Korean servers! Even if I don't understand the language!

Prices arent overpriced like other servers. Things are affordable and server is petty decent.

Yeah, the server has a bad reputation because of what Gravity did in the past, but the current European sercer is quite decent!

Antes eu usava o NordVPN, mas quase nunca funciona. O Surfshark é bem melhor. Mesmo assim, a dica é que se não funcionar, fica entrando e saindo da conexão VPN, pois muda o ip no Brasil. Apenas alguns ips no Brasil funcionam (esse problema acontece com todos os serviços de VPN). E quando conecta, o Surfshark tem sido muito melhor que o Nord. Já usei o ExpressVPN há um tempo atrás, funcionou bem, mas é o mais caro. Nesse momento, eu recomendo o Surfshark!

Hoje voce acha que qual servidor é o mais populoso? Joguei um pouco do Payon stories tava legal mas quando acaba aquele tesào de ser novo a populaçao cai pela metade....

Olha, os servidores mais populosos são os do oriente extremo e suldest da Ásia, mas fica inviável de jogar lá por causa do idioma. Resta o universo de servidor em inglês ou português. Tem um tempo desde que joguei última vez em server private - na época, o NovaRO tinha uma população boa, mas tanta coisa mudou desde então. Na minha experiência, o servidor mais populoso em inglês ou português, private ou oficial, é o Thor do bRO. Tipo, muito mais que qualquer outro servidor nestes idiomas.

I know what you mean! Bizarrely, the game I get most addicted is not Ragnarok, but online chess! I can't have it on my phone!

I will be honest, if you are 100% new to the game, the you will have a hard time learning the game. But, my recommendation is always: try! I mean, no matter what other people say, you are the only person who can really judge what is good for you! Just download the game, and give it a go. Worst case scenario, you will dislike the game. :)

Is there any server that you would personally recommend for a brazillian? It would be BRO right? i could spend some money on the game, but honestly i don't think it's worth to spend too much, and BRO seems extremely pay to win. I don't know if maybe i should just stick to offline rpgs.

Bom, eu recomendaria o bRO. É pay-to-win mesmo. Mas todos os servidores de Ragnarok atuais são, pois é o modelo que a Gravity decidiu. Mesmo server private tem muito pay-to-win. Se vc quiser competir no meta, de fato vai ter que gastar uma grana violenta. To falando na casa de dezenas e dezenas de milhares de reais. Mas, se for pra curtir o jogo na maciota, fazendo umas instâncias, upando de boas, daí o jogo tá bem divertido. Recomendo gastar com rops no inicio, pra facilitar teu up. Eu recomendo gastar o mesmo que gastaria num jogo bom na Steam. Mas, tem um porém. RPG offline são balanceados e vc com certeza vai curtir, tipo um Baldurs Gate. Faz o download do bRO, testa, mata a nostalgia, e vê se vc curte ainda. :)

Thanks! I think it is because of the location of the server. I don't think using VPN would fix that, but you could try. Most VPNs offer 1 month for free. If it is nearly unplayable, then maybe you can even contact the game managers.

@@clids Verdade! Kkkkkkkk! Mas não gasto muito com rop. Pois penso: "comprar rops pra conseguir um único item forte no rag OU comprar Baldur's Gate 3?". O real pode até ser desvalorizado em relação à libra, mas tem uma galera que compra na faixa de milhares de reais várias vezes por ano - e isso é pesado até pra mim, no exterior. Meu conselho é gastar em rop na faixa de um único jogo AAA na steam e largar mão do meta. Ir curtindo o jogo, sem estresse!

Yeah, I prefer old times too, but, comparing to other official servers (which are mostly renewal), I think the European server is decent enough. But, I agree, the current format of the game is far from what made us fall in love with it!

Why do you say so? Innova has the license to publish the game in Europe. It is true that they might simply not renew it, and it would shut down this September (since their license has to be renewed this September). It is a shame that Nova had to shut down. Though it had problems, it was better managed than most official servers!

Ragnarok Online Prime is worse than any private server you can find out there. I tried it. I went to become a swordsman and took off to the Prontera culverts to level... Even the fucking thiefbug eggs had like 2000% health and a single thiefbug killed me in one hit. Yeah no. Thanks, I hate it.
