My First Air Superiority round | 47-7 End Game | Battlefield 3 [1080p]

Hey guys, here's my very first game of AS on End Game! I'm talking to another pilot friend, ConsumeCaffeine who is in Teamspeak with me. (He wasn't playing with me in this game)

it is exactly what i thought it was gonna be. just one big ass dodge ball match. not all matches r like that but majority im spending more time trying to avoid HS. great work man i wish i was as good with the fighters. im sure if i play more AS ill get better

Finaly a player without heatseekers,my respects dude.I love Air Superiority,in my opinion is the best mode that Battlefield 3 has to offer,unfortunaly,because all the noobs (in my opinion) use heatseekers,this mode is ruined.Hopefully people who have servers will figure out a way to not allow the use of heatseekers.

Heat seeker is a part of dogfight. It's a war game. Claymores and c4s, even rpg m320s are a part of this. Maybe Dice can rearrange ammunition system. Every ammo crate must has a limit or infantries must carry a few explosive ammo idk. We will see in bf4

I run heatseekers in this mode just for the sake of shooting missiles at people outside of gun range and for the rare kill I may get with them. Stealth, ECM, heatseekers is my loadout in Air Superiority. Air Radar appears to be broken in End Game altogether, not just in Air Superiority. I played a game of Conquest on Sabalan Pipeline and the radar wasn't nearly as big as it is on vanilla maps. I'm not sure why it's like this but it's really annoying not knowing who's locking you from the air

Yup, TK should be of to prevent the constant crashing into teammates and you should be able to turn heatseekers off. That and a properly working air radar and it would be a fun game type. Now it's a cluster fuck of lock ons and collisions, which is boring and frustrating to say the least. Dice really dropped the ball with this one

Yeah after a few rounds I switched to stealth. And I use ECM and rockets.

These aircraft fly with some pretty goofy physics. Good flight sims have existed for a long time now. It probably wouldn't be hard to just copy/paste one in to Battlefield 3.

Wonder why they chose to disable (360) radar and reduce effectiveness for AS??? Seems like air radar would make sense in an air only map.

bits of plane and oil should damage or restrict your flying and view when flying into it's path as it's going down

what i dont understand is how it seems that everyone but me has super heat seekers. they always sem to hit me even if i put out my flares. my heatseekers always miss and when i try to lock on to fire my second missile i can never lock on. idk what im doing wrong maybe i just suck. but ill def just be playing AS a lot more and get better at using the main gun.

To be honest, air radar isn't useless but they nerfed the shit out of it. They basically crippled the air radars range because they thought there would be too many enemy and friendly jets to keep track of at once. They lowered the range so u wouldn't end up looking at one big clusterfuck of jets

This is typical in AS, good pilots do awesome even if they have several deaths to heat seekers. The other thing I've noticed is that good pilots stay busy just killing jets and forget all about the flags. I've seen many good pilots loose a match because the crappy jet pilots from the enemy team are always capturing flags, me included. I'm a crappy jet pilot and will get my points capturing flags lol.

Use brake and afterburner. It's easy. When you are below 310 afterburner, when you are above it, brake. Practice it ;)

Honestly, and I have suicided quite a bit in AS, it is not to cheat you of the points, it is because the period the jet is flaming and out of control and you can't really do anything but sit and wait for it to blow up is SO DAMNED LONG! If I die 50 times in a game, do you think I will sit there and wait each time? Its often much faster to just suicide and get on with it. If you must, take the enemy out properly, with a proper bang, not those rear end strafers, you wuss!

Probably because HS are basically a no skill weapon. BF3 should of made an option to turn HS on or of so people can decide what they want to play , now without air radar working like normal and the constant lock on of HS without being able to dodge em because you don't really know where the come from makes AS suck. Shame , because the idea is good.

LOL 14000 points? I got 0 kills, 58 deaths and 37000 points on my first game of AS, with NOTHING unlocked except flares, I was a just a sergeant. It's called 'playing the objective' hahaa but okay, it was a big ticket game, it seemed like it just went on and on! BUT I can't spot, and much less hit, a ground vehicle from a jet, so Im not saying Im not the noob and youre not the jedi master..Im just saying AS allowed a noob like me to show all the 100 star colonels what PTFO is all about! yay!
