I love seeing people shooting without a peep. I’ve been bow hunting my whole life just using a kisser button and now a nose button. It’s SUPER rare to see someone shoot without a peep. Props to you dude!!

Welcome back to Kentucky. I know you said you lived near Louisville. That where I currently live. If you ever want to come back I know all the good places to eat and taste the good ole “brown water” as well as a few fishing spots.

If you ever plan on getting a peep, the hamskea raptor peep is a great option. Also, I know you said you don’t want to have to squint through a peep and that you want a minimal setup. It would help with your up and down for sure! Great video!!

Hey, I had no idea you’d ever lived in Kentucky. I consider Bowling Green my hometown. Looks like you were at what they used to call Guntown Mountain in Cave City. I haven’t been to the new Buc’ees yet - what an amazing get for Smith’s Grove.

You should try to shoot some type of an ASA event to get a real grasp on competitive target archery. They have many different classes and you will meet tons of new friends. Its addictive though.... you will end up buying a bow to shoot target within a year or two of shooting competitions. Its a whole other realm of archery and its where your skills get honed in and you learn what truly works under pressure and what doesn't.

How did I miss that you used to live in Louisville. It was fun watching but wish you had gotten done fishing in. I'm always hoping some of the Googans will come to Kentucky to fish... well technically I think it would be great if you all made a trip to every state.

You really need to do this in a group. With some more KZbinr archers. This is more fun.

You can keep both eyes open while shooting with a peep, get a 1/4 peep you'll have plenty of light and more accurate. Bet you would have put em in the white

Shooting without a peep is like shooting a rifle without a scope. Yes you can do it but why make shooting more difficult?

Its all with a range finder... so no margin arrow, except the form. Could you shoot unknown course there ? Is it Kentucky - right?
@Texaslivinoutdoors3 ай бұрын
I encourage every bow hunter that doesn’t shoot 3-D during the off-season to pick up a target bow! Get a bow 10lb lighter draw weight then your hunting bow and get reps in. I started target shooting last year and I learned I SUCKED at shooting a bow.
@CodeByGio3 ай бұрын
How much did this help you improve? And is the cost the same?
@Texaslivinoutdoors2 ай бұрын
@@CodeByGio it helped a ton! I shoot year round now, all the 3D/outdoor tournaments are during the summer. Depending on how much you want to spend, you can build an affordable target bow. I have more money into my target stuff then my hunting stuff, I shoot my target bow all year so it makes sense.

Honest question for the comment section......... Do you think these courses make some hunters to try and make an unnecessary shot for glory and just wound it ?
@colety043 ай бұрын
no in anything it makes you a better archer so you can see how good your form really is. most people shooting these long 3d courses know they are not skilled enough to actually shoot at a live animal that far, it’s just fun. some people are skilled enough to make long shots and this is a good way to help you prefect you as an archer. i would also have to say not a lot of hunters shoot for “glory” hunters respect animals more than anyone in my opinion
