I think maybe the watercolor effect you’ve seen is done with caran d’ache neo color 2’s! They’re water soluble. Maybe try a little bit of baby oil to blend if you want that effect. And generally the white is used for blending as well but that can be achieved just with your lighter color 😊 I loved how your illustrations turned out.

Thank you for explaining to me about the white color and for the baby oil tip, I'm going to test it 💚. And yes, maybe the video I saw was with caran d’ache neo color 2.

i use oil paint solvent to paint with pastels. Sometimes i scribble the color on a plastic surface and then pick it up with a brush dipped in solvent. The colors go on super smoothly. Another way is to paint the colors on the paper and then go over them with the brush with solvent. The pastels become super vibrant but aren't as thick on the paper and you can even layer and go over them with a pencil

wow, thank you for sharing that technique. I'm gonna test it out.

@@snappylittledragon I'm happy I helped. Hopefully you will make a video of you using this technique :))) One thing to remember is that acrylic paint can't go over pastels (I tried). I mean, it does but then it peels off.
