Absolutely correct. Also if you are in the hood ad you see a kind of rundown restaurant but there is a crowd of people inside and out.... That food is Fire!

Welp… It’s not in the city, as I live about an hour and 20-30 further upstate, sandwiched between NYC and Albany in a lil city called Kingston… But we got a place called “Sunrise”. They do Breakfast, Lunch and possibly an early Dinner but are best known for their breakfast and their… Drumroll please… Bagels, which are the same style as the ones you’d find in NYC. They even go as far as having a plug in the city that sends them water daily in order to achieve this. Long story short, their bacon, egg and cheese in an Everything bagel stands head and shoulders above anything else you’ll find in Kingston and their bagels make the rest of the ones you’d find in town seem like they were all made by people who lost both their arms and tastebuds in a tragic dough mixing accident.

Bacon Egg and Cheese bagel is my breakfast go to. A local place here is only open until 4pm and they get their eggs from a local farmer so sometimes they’re out of eggs by noon if I want a second 😢

In all honesty where ever youre staying at which ever deli or bodega youre near will always have its own BEC or SEC and honestly its up to you to decide also there are these new gourmet delis or gourmet breakfast spots that serve some good sandwiches but of course it comes at a price i think we just believe bec and sec is just special in our neighborhoods because of its taste, quality and price .

NY Grill and Deli has the best one I’ve had so far like ever. At least pre pandemic. Haven’t been back that way in a while. When I used to attend Maury tapings, I’d order a sandwich or two while waiting for the bus to depart. It’s on 1938 Madison Ave in Harlem right across from Baba Fashion.
