Gorgeous bag! I’m a Kelly girl myself (2 Kellys) but also went preloved vintage. I too was not going do to the “journey” - just not for me. I also use my bags everyday and enjoy them- they’ve been to Home Depot and Target. I love when they look “relaxed” from use. Happy New Years to you!

Love the bag. I think it was a very good decision to get the birkin instead of the Kelly. I purchased the Kelly28 this year and sold it after around 5 months, because as you mentioned, the closure is really nerve wrecking. I thought very long if I should get the Kelly or the birkin and ended up getting the Kelly and regretted it after a few times wear. I wore it on couple of city trips and the bag was always open, and due to only one handle, it kept "tilting" to the front. It's such a beautiful bag and I love the style but the practicality was just not it. I also had a mini Kelly, which was fine, when the bag was open, because it was still kind of closed. But if you really wanted to close the barg, it was a struggle once again. Very sad, been thinking about a birkin lately. I think the birkin is for everyday use the best value.

i’ve been going back and forth between a birkin or kelly (I also will go the preloved vintage route most likely, although I have to admit I do like the game) but I think you convinced me to go birkin. I never thought about how difficult it would be to close/I personally like how the birkin is open at the top. congrats on your bag. it’s gorgeous and the exact specs i’d go for!

Love the Birkin! The 35 is a great tote like size. Though Hermes will only repair a bag that has not been repaired elsewhere. So if nothing has been done to the bag you are good! I have taken in many vintage pieces so it’s definitely doable.

Plusieurs milliers de $ , des mois de travail pour un sac qui a la fabrication coûte vraiment pas grand chose. Acheter un sac aussi cher quand on a largement les moyens je trouve ça déjà un peu bête mais encore pire quand on économise pendant des mois. Ce n est qu un sac. D ailleurs les vrais riche n achètent pas de vêtements ni d accessoires de luxe ils savent très bien que vous payez juste la marque et non la qualité. Travailler pendant des mois voir des années a économiser pour acheter un sac j appel ça faire l esclave pour un sac. Chacun fait comme il veut je donne juste mon avis. Mais avec le prix du sac je préfère me faire un apport pour un bien immobilier ou decoré ma maison, acheter une voiture faire un vrai truc.
