What are some foods you’d like me to try here? Any special way I shall include it in a video somehow? I’d love to hear your thoughts to let me know! Ps. I’m way more adjusted to everything right now and fully prepared to take on the next month here! :) I did post more what I eat in a days on TikTok if you’re curious!

thank you so much for posting these videos! i’m thinking of travelling to japan myself soon but i’m worried how expensive it’ll be as a student… you don’t have to include your experience in a video if you don’t want to but a travel guide would be awesome!! also, would love to see some street food too, if you film any 🤍 have a lovely time!!

Loved the video, it was also nice to step back into Tokyo since I was in Japan myself last december. The best food (and unreal restaurant exprience) I had was at Chukasoba Ginza Hachigou in Tokyo. It´s a 1 michelin star restaurant but dishes are very cheap. The dish Chashu Chuka Soba with a small bowl of rice and pork on the side is amazing! Be sure to get in line before 10 am and take this meal as a brunch or something, because otherwise you´ll have to wait outside for two hours since only 6 persons at once are allowed inside! Have you tried an authentic japanese okonomiyaki yet? Enjoy your time and lots of love💕

You are so self-aware, to realize that fatigue is about 100% the reason for other cognitive issues, like being too self-critical! I appreciate that you even took the time and effort to film while jet-lagged-but no pressure here! Loved this view of Japan and its delicious food! As ever, your love of and appreciation for different cultures comes through (even when you are tired!) Big hugs from Illinois, dear Katharina, and travel well!

Was just thinking while I was watching you in the sushi place wow I wish I had her confidence to be able to film in public, you seemed so relaxed! Just goes to show we can't believe everything we see, you did so good and well done on going out of your comfort zone :) Can't wait to see the rest of the Japan content!

One thing to keep an eye on is that Japanese food is commonly a lot less energy dense than European/American food so you will likely need a higher volume of food to get enough energy in the day

They’re called Onirigi :) I Love them with pork, egg & soy sauce! It feels a bit odd in the morning though since I personally prefer a sweet breakfast. But I enjoy it!

Just wanted to know if you think being veggie is fairly easy in Japan? :))
@katharinaschneiderr
@katharinaschneiderr 11 ай бұрын
Absolutely!! There’s plenty of veggies in the food and it’s easy to find. However a lot of the broths and so are made with a base from some sort of meat/fish. I guess vegan would be a bit more difficult:)

Beautiful video as always 🥰 The sushi restaurant where you went is very good but it's still a chain :) I recommend the restaurant called Uogashi Nihonichi Standing Sushi Bar - it's one of the best suhis I ate during my trip to Japan! (+ even more impressive experience because everything is prepared freshly in front of you, you eat standing up, and it's not expensive!) For ramen, ichiran ramen is a must :) Enjoy your trip in this magical country :)))
