Old ToD was a set of missions that refreshed once a while (2 weeks IIRC) and it was very casual-friendly. I could play for a few hours during the weekend and still contribute to my clan by simply grinding those missions while at the same time getting some reserves, crew books, blueprints and special camo paints. Now WG wants me to log in every single day and complete missions that can't be even all done at the same time, forcing me to play at tier 8+ for an hour every single day if I want to contribute to my clan. Also, let's not forget that you have to manually claim the reward every single time for absolutely no reason. All of this for a fraction of resources we used to get from old ToD. In short: more daily chores designed to waste your time for less rewards. That's why people are upset. All WG had to do is to add new ToD as a new, separate progression ("clan campaign" or something) instead replacing old system.

But this doesn’t make any sense. It just makes the clans even more obsolete. If you want reserves then You have your own reserves, clan reserves should be available to people who actually play with their clan, both in randoms and in clan related modes, like SH. WG killed clans years ago, and now it seems like they have reminded themselves about it, and are actually making some changes. I’m sorry but simply farming the cubes by playing solo, and sitting in random ass clans, just doesn’t appeal to me, it makes clans obsolete to the point when they only serve a purpose of having those reserves, people don’t even play together there.

it is cool to get a new tank at the end of this but i do agree with clans saying its harder to get the boosters but my biggest problem with this is being forced to platoon and there only be one mission you can do single i don't platoon not my thing i like playing by myself i just hope WG kinda change the missions for not having to be in a platoon

I think the biggest problems of the new ToD are yet to come. The daily platoon missions give you nothing apart from clan resources and points towards the Carro, so once players have unlocked the Carro clans will struggle to get players to keep playing the platoon missions.

The new system rewards good players with even more high-end rewards. The old system let everyone get the basics. I don't believe the change will increase the life expectancy of WoT.

For me, the changes to tour of duty are dreadful. I used to get around 3 blueprints every couple days, as well as 50% credit boosters regularly. Now, it’s basically nothing, and since missions don’t activate automatically, I never make progress on them.

I already have the Carro from doing Clan Wars, currently working on stage 17 on ToD. The 4.5 mil credit compensation for completing ToD pales in comparison for the loss in industrial resources for clan boosters. Thank you for speaking up about the booster or lack there of booster issues.

Not a fan of the new system since a small clan if they are lucky could run one booster every few days since you need 17 poeple to finish all three missions each day per booster. While if you check the large high end clans that WG already favors they can just keep them running continously.

The Tour changes are miserable. I used to finish them every cycle, contribute to my clan, and gain perks for doing well and completing missions. Now? Since I don't often platoon, I only get a few stages complete with 25 points per mission. No chance for a casual player.

Not too long ago people in casual clans would be able to generate a lot of resources for their clan so clan boosters were easy to come by and clan members could easily earn things like camo and other cosmetic stuff. Then they severely nerfed the casual clan experience so now casual clans are essentially useless.

WG ruined casual clans to try to encourage clans to participate in competitive modes like strongholds and Advances but they had already destroyed the competitive scene by selling OP tanks like the BZ. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I think the Tour is very good for the community as a whole. I have been in clans with TierX boosters and 100 members. Everyone playing solo and Discord like a ghost town. The only message was “Boosters Please’.. Now discord is full of people we are all doing the tour missions and an added bonus is we are doing advances due to us being on comms from the tour missions.

The clan changes were terrible. You know how hard it is to do some of these clan missions with casual players? The clan I'm in has mostly 44 - 48% win rate players in it. Doing the 1600 base xp or 5000hp of damage missions takes fuckin hours. I just gave up because it's not fun and makes me annoyed at my own platoon mates.

The proprietor of the social clan I just left might have looked at this as an opportunity, but he's a former NA CC who is winding down his WoT participation for the time being.

Maybe it isn't your thing, but I'd love to see some videos of tier 6 skirmishes with NVEST! Skirms in general aren't nearly as sweaty as Advances and CW proper, and tier 6 skirms are arguably healthier than tier 8 skirms right now because all the OP premium tanks are largely confined to tier 8. Some of the most fun I've had in this game was in skirms as teamwork is basically guaranteed, meaning you can try some real funky strategies that would never work in randoms. Regardless, best of luck with the new clan!

grinding lines is in the past, when you turn off accelerated crew training. you can casually play your dailies and win your 5 matches and get 60k xp a day on average and then buy loot boxes over christmas and convert that xp

I personally think the new tour sucks balls. I havn't played for it beyond stage one, rarely plays with the clan. In the old system I enjoyed a few perks, blueprints and small goodies, while contributing to the other members, being able to enjoy boosters. It could easily have been made so you could chose either way of playing tour

I'm a returning player after a long time, had to start a new account. I had to rely on the battle pass to get enough money for a T7 and will have to do the same for another T8. I had some credit boosters but used them way before the T7/8 grind. Blueprints are good, but I'd like a way to make tanks cheaper credits-wise too.

TBH, I think you really should play Clanwars just too show people how to begin with it, and how it works. I'm not saying you should get all sweaty over it or play every night, but I think it's probably there is probably a lot of people who wouldn't mind knowing how to get into it.

Been Wanting the Carro since it was intro'd, knew I'd never Get One, my Clan never really DID do anything on a Grand Scale... Now, there's MAYBE 15 People still in the Clan I'm in, and of those MAYBE 2 or 3 of us are still Logging In... I've been in this Clan since about the Time I Started in 2014, and having been in the Clan that Long makes it Hard to just Up and Leave it, DESPITE the Mess it's In... Alot, most actually, of the Guys in the Clan haven;t Logged In in a Year or More.. Still want the Tank, but it's gonna be a LONG Grind...

New system VS old system: - clan economies are in shambles, we're talking 70 to 95% less industrial ressources (boxes) for most clans, the more competitive the clan the less impacted. Also, from what I gather, the impact is even worse for NA clans; - while most clans were able to afford 120+ boosters a month (2x2 per night), I'd expect the ballpark to now be 10 to 25 a month (from almost 1x1 per night to 1x1 per 3 nights); - new/small clans CANNOT upgrade their stronghold, prices have stayed the same at ~11M to upgrade everything, which is enormous when your clan produces less than 100k boxes a month (that's like 10 years to upgrade the clan fully); - big established clans are almost not impacted because they had boosters/boxes stockpiles for months (or years) to come; - players NEED to play daily to contribute to their clan, and to advance at a decent pace on their Tour of Duty; - I suppose the mitigating factor is that new ToD rewards are hard capped, so sweaty players will start getting nothing in return for their time investment into the clan's well-being in a few weeks, while the casual players catch up at a snail's pace. Overall, appart from the tank, the whole ToD is significantly less rewarding, appart from slightly limiting the damage done to your clan.

it's worse for NA all the top clans have 300+ boosters of every type so they (we) won't get any effect for about 4-5 years since it collapses after every tank campaign. since there's no reason for us to play the game with everyone having 50+ tens and all the clanwars tanks

It will take someone 3 months completing all 3 missions every single day If you’re only getting 25 every single day it’ll take you more than a year One of the later stages is 900 points (900 divided by your 25 points is 36 days just for that one stage)

68 days to get your free t10 and don't forget to clam those missions everyday! You don't get points toward your ToD if you don't hit that claim button. Winning skrims get you automatic progress towards your ToD missions too. So you guys can grind faster running a bunch of t8 skrims!

Nice you and M4 invest in a clan to get a bunch of likeminded people to platoon and try and get a new tank. I would have tried to join but these days I play way to less ( 6 hours a week at most )to be an asset to the clan I think. If you think otherwise please let me know then I will apply. This system is simply terrible. WG harmed 90% of the player base and the casual clans. and it's making the game less desirable because before you could put boosters on and play T10, now T10 without boosters is a losing economy and will reach a point where very little players could reach T10 and who reahces it could barely play it without credits, and now you could barely run one booster a week. 2 if you have 15 active participants at least.
