Dear Ruby Rose; I am one of your biggest fans. You are my favorite character. I wish I could've met you and got to speak to you personally at RTX this year, but I couldn't afford to take that trip. I speak for many of us when I say that I am SO glad to see you happy again. When you were depressed during the entirety of V9, I was so worried sick for you. And in episode 8, when you basically tried to kill yourself, my heart was broken and I was devastated because I thought I was gonna lose you. I was so happy to see you come back as yourself in episode 10. Your mother said it best once, Ruby. "I love you, just the way you are." I absolutely could not stomach the thought of you losing your memories and personality. I have so many questions to ask you, but I'll only pick the most important ones. 1. Right after you ascended to save your friends from CC, did you experience any side effects or any physical changes in yourself? Aside from your confidence restored and all your wounds healed. 2. I know you're probably trying to readjust to home and all, but... how do you plan on telling everyone (specifically Qrow and Taiyang) that you basically... y'know... tried to take your own life? 3. How do you plan to lead the new Remnant Coalition? 4. What are your plans for when V10 is greenlit? I'm sure you'll want to rebuild your relationship with Jaune, while also trying to investigate what happened to your mother. My best lead for the latter would be to find Raven. 5. You mentioned you had friends back at Signal Academy in V1. Are you still in contact with any of them? Do you think you'll see them again anytime soon? 6. I know this is a personal question, but... do you... have a love interest? After everything you went through in Beacon, Atlas, and the Ever After, you deserve to be with someone who makes you happy. I mean, since Nora and Ren are together, and Blake and Yang are together, I think it's only fair if you find the guy of your dreams. Or girl of your dreams. Don't know what you're into since you never brought it up in the series. 7. Throughout your adventures, you've been known to have a quirky, bubbly, energetic, and hyperactive personality. Are you by any chance on the autism spectrum, or something similar in Remnant? I thought I would ask that considering I myself have autism. Once again, Ruby is adorable. I really like the VAs for the main characters are friends lol The best pest for me is when she was talking about people who are different. I have autism and that means a lot to me. Life was rough for me back then because I had a hard time with communication and talking to other people. But now a days, I realize that it’s ok to be different, just be you and stop worrying what others think about you. Ruby (Linsey) thank you for supporting people with differences. @@pokeloon15I don’t want them to put one in. Because it’s easier to see yourself in a character than to enjoy a caricature of yourself. Take Benadryl Cucumberbreath for an example. He doesn’t like people saying his characters feel autistic. But he has played Doctor Strange, Sherlock Holmes, and Alan Turing in Imitation Game, and many fans bonded mentally with his portrayals. Edit: In contrast, see Amistad, Rocket’s autistic son in Young Justice S4E18. He was written to be autistic, and overplayed it. While Young Justice used theirs as part of a lesson to Rocket, it wasn’t as relatable. Watch a clip of Imitation Game when Alan is used as a wingman (right before he breaks Enigma), and contrast it to Amistad’s trip to his father’s apartment. Or any clip from Imitation Game against Amistad. Which was more relatable? I should know. I’m on the spectrum. Edit 2: To make the point a little more obvious, with an in show example: I specifically have what is/was known as Asperger’s, which is now folded into Higher Functioning Autism. Lack of social awareness comes with the territory, and enhanced senses without a natural filter/focus (like MCU Spider-Man explaining his goggles to Tony in Civil War; imaging seeing as much as Sherlock but understanding as much as Watson). But the one tick that stands out: obsessive interest. You have something you really enjoy, and when engaged in anything are hard to pull out of gear. Remember Ruby Rose from episodes 1-2? Socially awkward to the point of not recognizing a robbery, the only character to wear headphones (maybe as a means of blocking out external stimuli), overshares on herself and her interests, and has a hyper-obsession with weapons that completely sidetracks her. Oh, and not recognizing her distractions to Weiss, over-planning her school schedule (to stay on track) and best day ever… This is what I mean. Even if Ruby isn’t autistic, she has many correlated traits that I bonded with.

I went to my first convention earlier this year at Anime Milwaukee and my experiences were pretty similar to Ruby's. I spent my time taking pictures of cosplayers and hanging out at the exhibit hall where I got a lot of cool stuff. I even ran into a few people cosplaying as Ruby, Yang, Sun, and even Taiyang and Summer. I even got a RWBY print as part of my convention haul. Also, whoo! Ruby says neurodivergence rights!
