I was on the eclipse a number of years ago and enjoyed it as well. The food was good, especially the stir fry station and deserts. As for the drink package, that would be a difficult one to rank. I like it because it covers more than just alcohol beverages. It also includes soft drinks, bottle water, fresh orange juice, smoothies and specialty coffee/tea in addition to alcohol beverages. Great review for your first cruise. I hope to see more. Thanks for sharing.

6.5 beers OR waters, gatorades, specialty coffees, red bulls, smoothies, shakes, etc. you can usually get your money worth with this drink package without alcoholic beverages

@@Tristan.travels Also, re everyone in the room needing the package, if someone doesn't/can't drink alcohol like because of pregnancy or medication or something, you can get an exception. You just have to contact the cruise line. At least, that's what I read. So maybe for next time, if you're thinking about the package and it's a good deal or whatever, you mom could go that route re not getting the package. But thanks for the video. I'll be going on the Eclipse in a few months for my first cruise.

My first cruise is coming up in just 3 months (Oct'24) and I'm also taking the Celebrity Eclipse - to the Dominican, Puerto Rico and St. Maartin. I like the grading you did at the end - very fair marks based on everything I've heard or seen in KZbin videos like yours. I like an occasional Pina Colada and beers, but I'm not a big drinker, so I will avoid that costly drink package. The internet package isn't cheap either. It looks like the shows are a bit underwhelming (since I go to Vegas where the shows are amazing), but the food and service on that ship is usually given high marks, consistent with what you talked about. Great choice getting a balcony - that's one thing I'm most excited about. Glad you had a good time and a relaxing trip. That's what it's all about! I'm excited to see it all. Yep, unless you're a big drinker, the packages aren't worth it. Much cheaper just to pay regular price for the occasional beverage. Wifi price was too outrageous for me as well. Unless your job requires it, unplug for the voyage or if you must, go to a cafe at one of the ports to use their free wifi. Thanks for watching and enjoy your upcoming cruise on the Eclipse.

Sorry for late response, but my mom received the deal to upgrade to concierge due to her preferred status with Celebrity. Normally a balcony room would be much pricier. Thanks for watching.

Hmm i thought there was a good mix of ages. Definitely leaned a bit older but I was surprised how many young couples I saw. I will say our cruise didn't have a ton of kids on it. Thanks for watching!!

@@Tristan.travels I'm glad to hear there was a mix of older and younger couples. I'm old, but I still would enjoy the "scenery" of the younger clienele at the pools, if you get my drift. Glad there weren't a lot of kids. I think they tend to go on the Disney cruises for families. Thanks for the info. I was hoping there were more than just old fogies like myself!
