Making others feel inclusive who are a little different from others, having a student have and IEP definitely made at least some people feel happy and not feel like the only one with one. It means a lot that you added IEP to this video. I have really bad ADHD which makes it hard to focus on work or take in information that may be easy for others to understand. It's also hard for me to stay still and quiet; from time to time my medicine causes some fatigue. I've always felt insecure about having to get pulled out for IEP. And I'm in 8th grade now, so sometimes it feels even more embarrassing. But that specific part of the video made me feel really special. Thank you for that 💖

I would just like to respect and point out how inclusive Akeila is. I found it awesome to see one of her kids having an iep. I have anxiety and a dyslexia, so I’m on an iep myself. this definitely shows that although sometimes we get pulled out of the classroom, we are human like all the other kids, so I was very happy to see that aspect. I also love seeing the pride flags in the classroom, shows the respect towards the community and the students! I am lesbian, and was very happy to see that as well. Keep up the great work Akeila!
