Empanadas you buy usually are baked, but they can be also fried. There are different traditional recipes for the beef ones, arriving from different provinces of Argentina. The ones made following the Salta (Salteñas), Tucumán (tucumanas) and Santiago del Estero (Santiagueñas) are among the top recipes. Caminito in La Boca neighbourhood is not the real caminito, because the Tango is from a province in the Nortwest of Argentina.

But when you go to the rest of the country you see way more diversity in "skin colors". I'm sure people told you Johnny but funnily enough the breach between the official rate and the "blue" rate is becoming closer so for those $100 you actually got less than what it could've been just 6 months ago, at one point the difference was almost 60% or more, i literally couldn't keep up with it even though i live here lol, i'm from Córdoba. As for politics, you'll find mindblowing that the ones that love dictators are the equivalent to the democratic party in the US, yes, our left and the right was the one responsible for the dictatorship funded and empowered by the US. Also, not sure if you're going to travel to other parts of the country but if you do, i would suggest going to the city of Salta Capital, by far the one that holds way more of the real native culture of the country as a whole, from foods to music, the story of Gauchos basically our cowboys, Mate, Empanadas and more. Tango is only something that represents Buenos Aires inmigrant history and culture and you won't see it anywhere else pretty much.
@toddjohnsen7996Ай бұрын
Absolutely good points mentioned. I've lived in Argentina before as a Western foreigner. It was curious to me how liberalism has really destroyed Argentina and yet this ideology is the dominant force down there. In Russia, liberalism also wreaked destruction until Putin took over and turned the country around. It amazes me that Argentines, en masse, still fall for and tout liberalism, hook, line and sinker despite the fact that economically and socially, liberalism has made Argentina a shell of its former self. Even the Peronists have been completely subverted and turned into a freak-show resembling nothing less than Western-style **minists and collectively, unlikeable, authoritarian liberal bullies.
