I'm so fucking glad he went. And he's showing these kids that follow him that it ain't all bad in your life. Y'all lucky to even be in a 1st world country and y'all complain. We all do. Gotta gain perspective in life. It helps a lot. I've been fortunate to have grown up in various countries. Going back to where I was born (left at 3 months old), Colombia, I was shocked. The first time I actually remember I was 11. In a small town deep in the valleys. Dagua. The level of poverty there with many, was astounding and yet they made it work. And this is where my grandparents grew up. So generations. And Dagua was not bad compared to other parts. When I went to Ladrilleros, these islands off the coast where all the slaves were brought in obviously many years ago. Mostly all black Colombians since then. They all settled there eventually. It's insane and what amazing, generous, loving people. But wow how poor it was. Literally this that y'all are seeing. EXACTLY the same. People living in broken down houses, even houses that caught fire, no roofs, whatever they could. Babies on the street shitting themselves. No diapers obviously. Just kids wandering while their parents worked and the teens already working of course.

THIS comment. As a Nigerian, the idolization of celebrities are any influential figure from the west is absolutely pathetic. Like you said, that energy is not at all reciprocated when Nigerian entertainers come out here. As long as they continue to behave like this, the west will continue to regard them as an inferior people.
@SPINENAIJA9 ай бұрын
@wpsnick Literally.. I don't see Kai as a celebrity.. I don't even know him until recent.. but I like it when black people like me.. comes back home to visit the continent.. and trust me.. alot of people don't know that.. most of the charade happening is actually because of SHANK.. and not Kai.. he's got his fans there but in that video.. I see more people running after him because of shank.. but in all.. I like that he feels welcome and safe.. I see nothing wrong in it.. we are who we are.. we can't alter how we embrace people just because the western community isn't the same way.. to me.. it's not treating them like a celeb.. it's making them comfy in my land.. if anyone of them think they are better than us.. then that's their own ignorance and illiteracy.. not our fault..
