My first DIY project ever is complete! My board and batten wall with peel and stick wallpaper is ready for its reveal. This is a project I've been wanting to do for a long time. I'm so excited it's done and even more excited to show it to you!

Turned out great. I just went to Home Depot and told the guy I wanted a miter saw, a nail gun and wood filler and paintable caulk. Instead of board and batten I'm doing what I hope is going to be a mid-century large flower design. I need to get painting , get the wood and layout my design. Hope mine turns out as well as yours did!

Good tips on wood vs mdf. Beautiful work! One question: what did you do at the bottom of your boards to sit evenly on top of your baseboard?

Lol - thanks, i'm glad i can help! I didn't do anything with them. I left them square 😔. however, I'm getting close to wanting to paint the wall a moody green/gray/blue and I think i'll sand them down and soften the edge a bit. Good luck with your project!

Sure! I did a strip of 1x1 and on top of that a 1X3 pine. I just glued and nailed it to the top horizontal board.

Good job. You'd be better off with a miter saw to do that project. I would suggest doing more research before you tackle other projects to get an idea of the tools you need and a safe way of using them. Keep on learning and growing. God bless.
