Seonghwa coming out of the golden egg is a reference to king Park Hyeokgeose, born in 69 BC out of an egg, as the legend goes. He was the founder of the Park clan, and is considered the ancestor of all Parks in Korea, Park Seonghwa included :) Also, there's an animated short on the Ateez channel where Mito comes out of the golden egg. In case you don't know, Mito is a black bunny character released a few months ago that became a sort of mascot for Ateez (they even did a Crazy Form dance practice cosplaying as Mito). The name comes from Michin (crazy) and Ttokki (rabbit), so Crazy Bunny. Seonghwa has even dressed as Mito at a fan event, and has publicized the Mito plushie a lot by taking selfies with it. I have no idea what it means for their lore tho 🥲 but it must mean SOMETHING that Mito and Seonghwa are so closely associated, even coming out of the same golden egg. Seonghwa's animal is a bunny so maybe Mito is his crazy alter ego? All Ateez members have representative animals, called Aniteez. Originally they were just emojis that they used in chats with fans, but now they've become actual mascots. Fun fact: Mingi's emoji used to be the wolf 🐺 but he decided to change it and now his animal is a baby chick 🐤 because he doesn't like people calling him scary 😭

This one has a VERY Latin flavor. They filmed it in LA while they were out there for Coachella. I am betting during the upcoming tour they put it in there with Arriba since “Wonka Mingi” appears there . There are a couple of lines about ‘no matter where I go the Guardians follow me’ and Mito the moon rabbit’s golden egg, which is probably why they are looking for it (in the lyrics). I love the Hongjoong in the kitchen spicing up food with chili 🌶️, the “game over” text is from Grand Theft Auto. Yeosang hugging his favorite food is hysterical.

You being all excited before they drop the mV, that was me too!! I feel nausea even, I love them so much. If you look closely the thing at the tabled with the money are their wins and tropes, they are flexing their wins and everything they've achieved. The ostrich symbolized strength through resistance and hardship. So they are talking about all things they had to go thought to be where they are (actually the industry treated them and treats them until now very bad for not being part of a big company) but in the video they are saying we just concentrate in "work" so we get the money even if you mistreat me. They are dissing the industry 🧐 Lorewise I think is them searching for a new purpose, they came from a world to know what they need to do to a place where they are not needed anymore?? Maybe and yes, bcs they were outlaw they gave a f about capitalism. I love everything, but you NEED to hear the b sides, BLIND and Siren and by far my favorites with Work.

Watched the MV immediately after opening my eyes at 6:30 AM and let me tell you it was an experience 😭 Can't understand for the life of me what was happening but i was surely vibing!! It's different from what they've ever done but still very them. Mingi on that chorus is phenomenal! San is also credited as one of the choreographers and I can definitely see it, very cool overall. Literally my two ults are back today, part of the Loona members and Ateez and I was like... Which album do I listen to first 😭😭 Golden Hour is a very nice album with varying genres and some surprises, can't wait for you to listen to it!

I think the last time they were in world a, was for Fever Epilogue and in there, they graduated high school or something. So now yeah they need to work lmao. Also, some atinys that already have their albums say that the mv makes more sense after reading the diary entries. I dont know if you know about the diaries? Part of the story is written in the albums, in the Diary version. Since Fever era. The albums come in 3 version: A, Diary and Z. Theres somewhere you can read them online, atinys upload them, ill try to find it again and link it

Suit looks awesome! HJ mentioned in a live the other day that something will come later this year for the storyline to properly link up the transition from Z to A. Lots of meanings/ references to old stories etc in certain bits of this mv, but mostly just seems like they wanted to show something fun so maybe not too many deep meanings/connections to lore. Its so hilariously chaotic and makes me chuckle every time! Looking forward to your full album review later (you're the first reaction I've watched for this cb!)

I think it is mostly meant to be a funny video. I read some comment somewhere which i really liked. That maybe this is just Ateez the idol group. Just trying something new without looking too much at lore. You can see some references to other songs. Like The real. Or Yeosang doing a part of the fireworks choreo. There are so many details in this MV. And just in total so funny and random 😂 It is so different and yet still so Ateez.

Happy 1st ATEEZ comeback 🥳🥳🥳 I hope you ordered a diary version of the album. It will give you the current story line. Which actually goes more with their bside Empty Box I think. But reading through it you see some things highlighted in the MV. Like the boys need to make money to keep their dream of being idols come true… but as always life and reality gets in the way of dreams. But surface level ATEEZ are showing what effort they went through to get where they are and their attitude while getting there.
