Just hearing the tone of your voice in the intro I knew this was gonna be a great video, and I guess your live gig brought back the good vibes lacking in the last days, happy for you bro! And whatever the setup, it's incredible how your sound remains so recognizable and unique. That said, I'm still to fire up my brand new Squarp Pyramid and I'm gassing hard for the OXI already, silly me! I'm collecting too much gear I can't have time to use, but there's so much tempting stuff out there... And I've yet to touch modular. Looking forward for the OXI in depth video mate!

Really nice video and overview on your setup. I´m pretty close to order the oxi one myself cause it looks like the perfect outboard sequencer for the modular a lot of capabilities. I experienceequal problems with tuning and monitoring with headphone and my solution for that is the 1010 Music Bluebox. I use it as my mixer for the modular system and with it´s different outputs you can set up one output to use it as the monitoring headphone line. I use it in combination with the launch control xl to have access to the major functions like volume faders but any small midi controller could do that. maybe this helps. keep up the great work

Thanks for sharing Federico! Very interesting. Just a question…why dis you click the modules with pam? Isn’t the oxi sequence enough? Thanks for the help
@OoraMusic Жыл бұрын
I use pam for a lot of stuff, clock dividing and multiplying, random voltages, simple sequencing. is a Swiss knife!
@giorgiofesta3928 Жыл бұрын
@@OoraMusic thanks for the reply. That’s exactly the way I use it too. However I mainly use it to trigger percussive modules and create rhythmic variant to the main clock (which is given by the sequencer)…never tried with vco…thanks for the great work you are doing! Really appreciate all your videos.

Sounds dope. Definitely hard for me to keep my hands to myself just around hardware and pedals. I'm still a few years out on modular, I'm pacing myself for extended mind expansion. Takeaway. Stay out of your head and be free. I like what your doing

Tuning locks - great idea, well done recovering and enjoying your performance. Interesting using the OTO last, I would generally have the reverb after compression, but Boum has a filter and other features by the looks so you can tame the audio end of chain? Very tempted by Oxi One or Deluge next in studio.

Hi Federico! For a long time youк music and workflow ispired me! So could u help me with advice? Im playing live perfomances on my akai mpc which i used only from blank project with my own drum kits and 4-5 internal synths tracks with my own patches (like your style with vermona). We have a little band with drummer on darbuka and guy with didgeridoo and playing kinda psybient dance music. Now im thinking change akai to deluge, because i want more complicated sequences (on akai i don't use sequencer at all) and go to eurorack later or add some main synth like hydrasynth. So how u think, is deluge good for brain of live perfomance setup or a sequencer like oxi one in this video? And is it good to use just deluge with internal synth engine without additional gear? My main task fast and maximum versatile live playing from scratch for instant jamming. Thank u a lot for your music, vision and sharing your knowledge!
@OoraMusic3 жыл бұрын
Hello David! The deluge is a comprehensive solution, it can do a lot (including good stuff with internal synths). It has only 2 cv outs, so if your plan is to use with modular is limited. Oxi has more possibilities as a sequencer, including 8 cv and 8 gate out. Is definitely a good choice if you need only a sequencer. Probably even more convenient than deluge since deluge has no screen, with can be daunting sometimes live. ciao!

Great video man! This OXI looks amazing, but I'm wondering about the pipe connection on your model... On their website it doesn't seem to be part of any of the promotional material? Is this a feature they have decided to leave off the production model, or am I just blind and missing something? It's a bit of a dealbreaker for me if it doesn't have it :( Also on yours, can you use the pipe connection and the CV/Gates on the OXI itself at the same time, or does the pipe override those outputs? Thanks man, great work as always!
@michael-rommel3 жыл бұрын
My thoughts exactly...
@oxiinstruments3 жыл бұрын
Hi! The OXI Pipe interface is included in the production version of the ONE. We're focused now on the production of the ONEs and the OXI Splits, but the OXI Pipe will be available very soon. We'll add this info to our webpage to clarify this point, thanks for your comment! Pipe and OXI outputs are basically the same thing :)
@shogunai3 жыл бұрын
@@oxiinstruments that's awesome, thanks for the reply! Am I right in thinking that these outputs simply replace those on the back of the unit? Or do they mirror them/add to them? Would be absolutely insane to have 16cv and 16 gates outs!! No matter if not obvs, still a fantastic machine. II shall be making my purchase soon guys, cheers!

@OoraMusic2 жыл бұрын
Ciao, l oxi e' più intuitivo e molto potente, octa aggiunge sampling mixing ed effetti. Octa richiede diversi mesi per capirla, oxi e' immediata. Difficile darti un consiglio!
