My FIRST EVER Wasgij! Can I do it?

My first WASGIJ!!! I didn't know what to expect, so I was a little bit nervous going into it - especially after my sister told me that it's really difficult! So that definitely didn't help, but I'm glad I finally did it! 🤩
If you don't know the concept of Wasgij I'll quickly explain it to you - you don't puzzle what you see on the box, but instead puzzle the future or someone's perspective 👀

I've done these wasjig puzzles for about 20 years. They're really difficult and I love them. Right now I'm doing the outside edge of Date Night. Wish me luck.

I love Wasjigs too!! Have so many of them and can't wait to finally do them 🤩 I do think that the difficulty varies, but overall it's like doing a puzzle without the picture 😁 You made me wanna tackle one of mine now! 😅 Good luck with Date Night! I was just checking it out to see everything that can go wrong with it - that lobster is definitely gonna end up on someone 🤣🤣

There's a big difference between Jigsaw Mystery and Jigsaw original or destiny. On the Jigsaw Mystery puzzles you actually puzzle the same things, but in a different place, because you're puzzling what happend three seconds after what is on the front of the box. This is much easier than puzzling what someone sees (Jigsaw original), because you can only guess and you will certainly not puzzle the people who are on the box.

I haven't done any of the others, but I definitely agree with you! The future ones and the point of view have to be the most difficult ones because the picture doesn't help you at all 😅 But it's kinda fun to not know what you're puzzling - it makes it different 🤩👌🏻

Great video. I've just completed my 2nd Wasgij. The 1st was a picture from someone's point of view which was easier because at least there was context to the colours, items and people etc... but the 2nd was a picture set in the future. That was very difficult and I, like yourself, just had small sections floating about but it was satisfying when they started to join up. The picture on the box was of no help which I didn't mind because completing the puzzle felt more of an achievement than the 1st one I tried. Yes...I'm looking forward to trying another.

This is still the only Wasjig I’ve done, so I don’t know how others will be, but I completely understand and agree with you! 😊 the image for puzzling the future is completely useless 😅 looking forward to doing the others. I have 4 more to assemble at home 🤩

The puppy is so cute! Puzzling with animals is always interesting. My cat likes to lie on the puzzle and push pieces around with her paw 😅😂

No problem at all! He was a little monster tho! Such a shame I recorded it in timelapse option, otherwise I'd slow it down, and you'd be able to see him dragging the pieces across the puzzle 🤣 This was my first time also, and I loved it!! I want to try the others now too! 🙈

I love the Wasgij puzzles! But the "puzzle the future" ones are definitly the hardest. I recommend trying a "what happens next" one. There you have the same characters and pov from the picture on the Box. The ones where you puzzle from someones view are pretty hit or miss. They are a mix between the others where you do have some solid hints on the box but also a large Part that is completly new. When I do the future ones, I always do the frame before I start sorting because the frame is a little indicator of different sections that might be relevant.

Yes! I have both types at home - what happens next, and someone's POV, but I just haven't gotten around to doing them yet! 😅 But you just made me wanna do one now haha! 😂🙈 I really enjoyed the one I did, even though it was difficult, but I just find the art so fun and detailed! And I agree - it's definitely worth starting with the frame! 😁👌🏻

@janetteandherpuzzles I would recommend "what happens next" to tackle next! I like them best because it's still interesting to find out what you are puzzling but you have a few solid points of reference on the box usually 😅 excited to see you doing more of them!

that puppy!!!!! Adorable! But yes I have kitties that like to bother me when I'm trying to puzzle. This is why I dont time myself. Sometimes I can puzzle for a couple of hours w/o interuptions, sometimes I have "help" The puzzle idea is fun, but I dont like solving puzzles w/o a picture. Too much focusing on trying to figure out what goes where. You did a GREAT job in putting it together quickly!!!!

Haha kittens are even 'better' help then puppies 😂😂 So I get what you mean for not timing yourself when puzzling 😅 They do have the 'solution key' with those hints, so you could always check them out, and maybe that would make it more enjoyable for you 😊

Very busy and beautiful too! I have had it for almost a year and haven't touched it - and now that I did it, I wish I did it sooner! 😅 So I think it's time you get it off the shelf, wipe the dust and get puzzling! You might end up loving them! 🤗

Ah yes, good old wasgij. My daughter loves doing them, I have no interest in them whatsoever. I did try two 150 piece ones to see what I thought of them but wasn't interested in doing any more. I prefer to have a picture to see. 👀

@@janetteandherpuzzles it's the Christmas Market one & yes the picture bears no resemblance to the solution. The thing I notice is that I think I'm looking for a piece that's got say a lot of blue in it. But when I find the piece it's a tiny bit of blue & predominantly yellow!
