As a Nigerian, my experience in Ghana during my first month there was horrible. Unfriendly people, hostile government officials; a Ghanaian guy even sold a neighbour’s dog to me by claiming it to be his own and attempting to catch it and hand over to me before the actual owner appeared. I was extorted. I saw hate by a people for nothing for the first time…

My first time going to Nigerian party in they year 2000… they gave me jollof rice with the same size rice…my brother hmmm…the meat was also huge and very hard…since then I find any excuse to get out of eating Nigerian food…I love Nigerians so I have to give their food a try again…i hear the egusi soup is very good.

Please, don’t let one bad experience deter you from trying again. Yes yes, Egusi soup is good, very good. Go to my community tab, you’d see a video where I tried Ghanaian dishes and a Ghanaian tried Nigerian dishes, one of which was Egusi. You’d enjoy it.

Yes, the more Nigerians showcase the positive side the country, the more perceptions about it will change for the better. So far, the negative portrayal, especially on KZbin, far outweigh the positive, and that's a shame.

I have heard a few Ghanaians say Nigeria is a very fun place. I'm not completely against going there but like most Ghanaians, I have my fears. A very good friend of mine who is Nigerian invited me to her wedding there and I was very ashamed that I could not go because of that
@TheJumzTV
@TheJumzTV 3 жыл бұрын
I like that you admitted you have ‘fears’ and it’s mostly stemmed from what you’ve heard and not necessarily what you’ve experienced, yeah? To break this hold of ‘fear’ or ‘doubt’, why not try it out first? And see for yourself.

@@mayurgeneral9077 Ghanaians are not "international exposed"? Whatever you mean by that you don't know what you are talking about. Ghanaians love traveling paa. there is no place on this earth that you won't find a Ghanaian. It's just they are skeptical of going to Nigeria. In the past Ghanaians did travel to Nigeria a lot but nowadays they don't have a reason to. Whether or not the fear of traveling there is rational, that is just the way it is now

A little friendly advice everyone; Lagos is not representative of the typical Nigeria. It’s just the most populous city. If you really want to experience Nigerian for its beauty and serenity, visit cities like Abuja, Calabar, Obudu for the cattle ranch, Enugu, the old empire of Kano, lokoja (kogi state), Cross the makurdi River (avenue state),Jos city etc.. Lagos often leaves a bitter taste in the mouth for most visitors and it feels like that’s all Nigeria is about. If business is all you’re about and don’t have a need for tourism then visit Lagos, Portharcout, Onitsha, and Ava.
