The trick there in picking strawberries is to eat while you pick when there's no one watching. A lot of people do this, that's why the price is higher compared to the ones that's already packed, apart from it being freshly picked and you get to choose each individual strawberry.

Eating fresh strawberries without washing them put you at risk of food poisoning or other related illnesses. Imagine the amount of dirt and pesticide still on those strawberries. I should know, I'm from La Trinidad.

I have to compliment Darlene on her choice to wear her new Jumper with the strawberries. Strawberry jam takes a lot of strawberries to make just one or two jars. Darlene can one buy Raspberry Jam in the Philippines my favourite jam.

Yes Boris, it’s the same here in Arkansas,USA. There are farms where you pick it and it’s cheaper. I stopped trying to understand Filipino way of thinking a long time ago,,,, I just accept it. Haha- I love the Philippines 🇵🇭 ❤️

I think it's cheaper when they pick and put in a package because they cover the bad ones with good ones and you don't see them. If you pick it yourself, you take only the good ones.

We went there pick up strawberries and cost us 850 a kilo we also pick for ourselves last January. We just washed and eat as it is. This summer here in Canada hope my strawberry plants will have more fruits. I prefer salt and vinegar for green apple and green mango so maybe I will try it with strawberries as well. You guys are having fun. I miss Baguio City so much.

Yes in the Philippines strawberries,santol, unripe mango, unripe papaya,tambis we dip it with salt except avocado we dip it with sugar....but Europeans fruits yes they dip it with sugar...i was also shocked at first time in europe i saw people dip fruits in sugar..so strange but different folks different strokes...but careful darlene dont eat strawberry direct from the grown coz baguio strawberries not organic its heavily sprayed...wash them thoroughly before eating....hehehe

@@eagleofthenorthmacroexcell6843 unless they say theyre organic farm they dont spray inorganic pesticides..to get the beautiful fruit phil farming does use spray to protect the fruits from insects thats the the saddest part of philippine farming...unlike in other countries theyre conscious of what they put into the farm so its safe to eat anytime & everytime...

It's different style with each country how they eat the strawberries...hehehe...In Netherlands they eat it with whip cream and in Sweden they eat it along with powdered sugar and pickled fish...lol

I wish you were here in Russia both of you so that you can help me on Summer because of the summer time comes here I am a farmer of all berries, vegetables even the trees of palm... 😊I'm greatful that my boss allow me to plant Philippine vegetables especially ampalaya maybe it's first time here to have an Ampalaya garden and more ... But berries is which I always really loved different types and varieties making it jams , compot and preserves for the whole year ... Strawberries is very sweet when is always in hot weather... Split bread crosswise. Cut strawberry in half then dip in sugar . Place in bread n wala…. Sandwich.

Boris reaction when Darlene mentioned about salt added to the straberry. Actually the best taste to balance the tartness of the berries, you should try it Boris 😊. I do "kulog" the best 😊. My husband also make face everytime i add salt to my fruit 😊

Salt neutralizes the acid in a fruit, so it makes the fruit taste sweeter or at least less sour or tart. This is the reason why preserved fruit jams or jelly that you buy has sodium in it. Actually, dipping it in sugar emphasizes the acid taste of a fresh fruit. I use vinegar with fish sauce or bagoong for green mango or green apple dipping here in the US.

I can truly understand Boris when he was surprised that you will only pay because you will pick Strawberries. 😂 Because these sumptouos red wild berries springs out everywhere in the fields of their country home, Russia. That is why I laughed when he got surprised upon knowing it. And strawberries are rarely seen in a humid-air region with various season changes. 😂😂😂😂 Moreover, Darlene prompted him to eat strawberries with salt which he outwardly objected. 🤣😂🤣😂 Because truthfully, the more sour the fruit is, the better it is to be paired with salt. And it's really exciting for our taste buds because every dip of it on the salt is the satiety for us to want more, especially accompanied with soy sauce or vinegar. I can see the facial expression of Boris now loomed with disgust. 😂🤣😂🤣😂

Boris or Darlene can i possibly ask you a favour. The next time you go to any Bank could you ask what is the Foreign Money Exchange rates in the Philippines. In the UK several companies are giving between 70 to 72 Philippine Pesos for £1 UK GBP. Great British Pound. Or £1000 GBP into PHP using all Bank of England £50 pound new notes? I think this would make a good YT video for many European nationalities who are planning to go to the Philippines this information would be very useful to know even though rates do change every day. Thank You i do hope you can find the time. Also i am looking to buy land and to buy or build a 3 brdrm 3 bathrm house with its own private swimming pool. This also would make a very good YT video to help build up your channel and earn more money from You Tube and subscribers. 😅❤❤

Shocked by the price of the strawberries there, very expensive compared to the cost of living in the Phillipines. I think you pay more for the experience because 1 or 50 strawberries may accidentally fall into your mouth as you pick.
