The reason you aren't hitting as often is because you're a closer and closing pitchers are relied on more often. I did 2 way last year for RTTS as a starter and hit most games I didn't pitch.

Yeah apparently this year you can DH In games that you're pitching... I wish there was a way to make a relief guy who comes in in tight spots or a ballplayer who is purely a DH.

if they didn’t change it then as a two way closer no matter your skill position you’re going to close 70% of the time whether your team is good or bad. the only time you hit regularly as a two way is when youre a starting two way then youll pitch every 5 games.

2 way starter works well and they finally added you can hit while pitching this year for it. The other best option would be when the agent asks if you are happy with 2 way and you say 'id like to focus on fielding and pitch occasionally' . I havent actually done this, I think it makes you like a middle reliever where you still wont hit that game. But it would be majority hitting/fielding outside of those appearances.

In order to hit & pitch in the same game, you must be a starting pitcher using you as pitcher/designated hitter...two roles for one player...just tossing the idea at you...✊

Love the videos Mighty. Been watching for a long time now. I’m loving that you’re a two way player this year. I tried that while being a closing pitcher in 23 and if I remember right it really cuts down on the games you hit in. If you’re a starting pitcher you hit in all the games between starts and even in the game you pitch (if they fixed that this year).

Mighty: Why am I not hitting??? Me: Bruh, did you even check if you were in the lineup? Also, yes, you technically can but I think it's only in real life. You would have to make a double switch; bring Mighty in from CF to pitch and someone to play the now vacant CF.

I got drafted by the Padres in the 7th Round as a closer I did decent in the combine didn't set the world on fire or anything i made a 5'4 115 lbs lady knuckleballer 😂

I think you’d like playing better as a SP and CF. You bat every single game and DH in the game you start as a pitcher. Being a CP you’ll never come in for a save when you’re playing CF you’re going to stay CF and the games you come in as a CP you don’t hit or play CF.

You can make a difference in games with the "impact" option on fielding opportunities. That's an awesome change! I just wish I could get a power boost when I hit home runs instead of clutch...

Servers matter for perks and skill set advancements. The cutscene audio I believe is under the "movie" slider in the audio settings. You should also run the bases until your speed is up

i played 2 way for like 2 ingame months and was on the field maybe 10 times and when i wanted to adjust it i could only hit more if i would have switched to starter

you're a reliver/closer that's why. if you're a starter, then you will be playing CF on off days

I'm pretty sure if your connection is lost that do not inherit progress towards attributes and player upgrades. It was that way playing RTTS last year.

You probably did better as a pitcher in your combine than as a hitter. Also, depending on the needs of the team that drafted you, they may have selected you more for your arm than your bat.

Closers are situational so it's hard for managers to start a player in the field if they might need them to pitch. I assume it's similar here. Starting 2-way players will get more time in the field

You are throwing so many balls as a closing pitcher because you are not paying attention to your energy your energy is low so therefore if your energy is low you're not going to be able to throw accurately

I don’t play a lot of video games but I do have MLB the show 21… I started a career as a 2 way player and was hoping to be able to hit and pitch in the same game? I’m not sure why they don’t have that in this game? I haven’t played an exhibition with Shohei to see if that’s how they allow him to play.. but I’m certainly hoping once I’m in the bigs that’s how it goes… but it’s annoying…

I think your pitching is off because on a lot of your pitches you are stopping halfway through the analog stick motion. Like you’re releasing the stick and letting it return to center for a second.

If you want to hit more as a two way player you need to be a starter. Otherwise you're going to hit like once a week. I've watched someone else do this.

Once I pick up the game, I plan to do a two-way player, so I can’t really answer that right now. But when I tried it back in 22 I think it was that have a two-way player, I barely played my secondary position and hit.

i do wonder how the game is going to handle two way players with the two way player rule....also I wonder if you will start the game in the field and they will move you to closer when the situation arises? Time will tell I guess.
